I agree with most but i think it will be close with all teams in junior 2, I think Airborne has a chance to win.  The routines from Power and Airborne have similar skills and the same amount of tumbling.

You are so right..... I remember airborne junior 2 now and yes that will be a toss up and a fun division to watch
thanksbiggrin

I too like your pics - however, don't forget Fusion Mini 2 has already beat Power Mini 2 - just throwing it out there

I am the original poster fro predictions and I must say, isnt it great that it really could be a toss up in all these divisions.  I do remember Aerial only being point something away from 1st place. wow watch out this new gym is making a huge name for itsself.  Their youth team is winning first place and grand championships.  The mini level 1 squad is very good as well......

this should be a great competition. looks like mini level 1 will be close too
good luck everyone.

agree with most these predictions minus large junior 3 although could be close so maybe if the team you chose hits they will win. strong routine and fun so it will be ifthey have a clean routine and it hits then they will take first place.
and def. disagree on senior open 4 just because the team you chose hasn't hit or been solid at all just don't see them taking first, but you never know.

What is the difference between Senior 4 and Senior Open 4 (or Sen 2,3 open) anyway? Is it when there can be ages above 18?
confused

Nope, it's when you can have under 11 yo (12 yo?).  Uh oh, I've been "out" too long...the details are fading!

Maybe I'm wrong but I think one other difference between Senior Level 4 and Senior Open Level 4 is in the open category you can have one male?  I was thinking Roseville at Athletic Championships moved into open and had one male I didn't think they had before.  Maybe open differs between competitions.

im not sure where they are located out of but i believe somewhere towrds stockton.  this has to be at least their 3rd or 4th year around.  I know one of their coaches was in the original bring it on movie and has coached at several cheer gyms and was once on starstruck college team.  colors are blue white black (those colors seem to be the trend biggrin)

if athletic championship follows the same rules then open is based on age not boy. Im sure that is the case. Roseville may have had a cheerleader who was under 12/11 on their team

Actually, that post was correct.  According to the division rules on the Athletic Championships website Level 4 Open Senior is allowed one male.  Level 4 Senior (not open) is 0 males.   So it's 18 and under and one male allowed.  Roseville may have had someone under 10 as well, but the one male definitely put them in the open category.

That was for Athletic Championships.  Don't know about UCA, I will have to look at their division rules.  They should all be the same if they're following USASF rules, right?

I finally took the time to look it up.  You are correct; although if competitions are USASF members, the levels shouldn't change.

Sr Open L2-4 (the only levels available to Open) are allowed to have 18 & younger aged cheerleaders AND have 0-4 males.

With one male, Roseville Sr L4 would have had to go Sr Coed or Sr Open.

Oh! and the minimum age a cheerleader can be on a senior team is 10.

Correct.   So if you have one male you can choose to go Open or Coed.   If you have a member who is under 10 you have to go Open.  But if you don't it looks like you can choose either one.  If you only have one male I think it's smart to go Open and not Coed because in Coed you may be going against teams with numerous males.  It looks like for UCA you are allowed 1 to 4 males in Open, no limit (just greater than 1) for Coed.   Athletic Championships only allowed 1 male, UCA is allowing 1 to 4.  I guess USASF rules can still differ between competitions.

Yeah...I tell ya the details are getting fuzzy.  I recall now being told awhile back that USASF member competition companies can make the rules more "strict", but not less.  This would follow with AC only allowing one when USASF guidelines state it can be up to 4.

I agree with you on choosing Open over Coed if you only have a few males.  And only if we stick with using this as L4, if you get into level 5 it's a whole new ballgame with different division decisions.
