Even though I am from Airborne and I love our program I do believe that we had problems in Senior 3 that added up. Power has full team toe bhs and standing series. We do not. We have a crazy cool pyramid, but it was not clean. The team with the least amount of mistakes took home 1st place. Dont worry we will get in the gym and get ready for Palm Springs. Thanks for the support and congrats to Power on a win deserved.

19 and in College.  Why do you doubt my ability to communicate.  Our coach teaches us not to get upset at other teams when we do not compete at our best.  Not make excuses.  We also had more groups but had a problem with consistency.

Is there a rule where you can't stand up and clap when the team is entering the floor? I'm not saying that I hold something against POWER for this but FYI, parents, fans, and friends, this is just weird behavior!

We had something similar happen, but not quite the same.  We were at Athletic Championships today and a team we usually compete against had just gone on.  Our team was next and were performing on stage when the girls from the gym who just performed came into the stands walking right in front of us, blocking our view, right during our team's performance.  We signaled for the girls to move (and probably said something like "sit down") and they looked at us like we were the ones being rude.   But in your situation the routine had not started yet so I understand your confusion.  Maybe like us they've had someone block their view before and wanted to catch it before it happened, who knows.

But the thing was, I was giving POWER a standing ovation.  I also turned to the mother and said I was going to sit down.  I know her daughter was on the team but don't tell me what to do when I have respect for the team your daughter is on and clapping for your daughter and her team.  She knew very well what I was doing. NO EXCUSES! After the routine, I stood up and clapped.  What, you really think I am going to stand up the whoel routine?  How about you stand up?  There is a difference, when someone stands in front of you when a routine is going on, is rude. When someone is giving your daughters team a standing ovation, I would be honored.

Sorry to hear that one of our parents was rude. Like Hannah Montana says, "Everybody has those days.......". Thanks for the support of Small 5 though, we appreciate it. I did not see many of the teams today, but I thought Airborne Senior  3 looked great and I also enjoyed seeing Pyramids Junior 4. Those girls never disappoint.

Cheers,

Hey Everyone, my name is Heather and I have been posting as 'An Airborne Girl'.  I just wanted to let everyone know my name and not be anonymous anymore.  What started as a post to congratulate Power has become something upsetting to me.  I am a third year member of Airborne and currently attend the J.C. locally.  Sorry that someone had to question my age and ability to voice my opininon.  My statement stands true.  Power had a great routine.  Congrats.  I will also let my past english teachers know that you are impressed with my mature statements.  They would be proud, lol, but really, good competition today.  Can't wait for Palm Springs.

I need to add something while on the crazy parents topic, I actually got hit in the head by one of the AP flags, and no one ever came down to claim it or appologize, I could not believe it!

There are crazy rude people wherever you go...you can let them ruin your day, or just shine it on and enjoy your kids performance! I for one am so incredibly tired of the whole "seating saving" fight with people I can hardly stand it. I came across one parent today trying to save at least 3 rows of seats stating there was an entire team sitting there...weirdface

Whenever something like that happens I think you should contact the gym that they are from.  I think the coaches would want to know.

4/5 because the majority of members on Pyramids are also on the level 5 AA team.

Hmmmm........well.....this wil be interesting. Pyramids 4..with mostley 5's and Powers  Larg 4 against other teams that are just L4. good Luck to al the teams!

So everyone knows...for one comp we had to use a girl from our college team (due to injury) so actually it's the Pyramids 4/5/6 team.

Now that's just funny!!!  :)

I agree!
That's why I love you Danny!

Cheersport really know how to put a comp one. It was a long day, but not a marathon like some companies have done lately. The venue was nice, but a little packed. The stage and lighting was professional and the staff was professional. The judging seemed pretty fair as well. I did  however think that some of the teams seemed a little dead, no energy at all. It seemed like they did not want to even be there. I was impressed with Power Senior 4. They added a little diffuclty in their elite section. I also liked that Pyramids Junior 2 went Junior 3. They could of stayed Junior 2 all year and kicked booty too, but they decided to go level 3 and really push their skills. I also think that Power Small Senior 5 looked much better than past as well. They had a member in the hospital and had to replace her that day and you could not even tell. I thought Motions Coed looked good too. They sure have tons of talent.

Congrats to all the athletes yesterday. it was a great comp with great competition. i personally LOVED how close the judging pannel was to the performers. it got me so pumped up because they were like rite in our face. my favorite performances of the day would have to go to special needs team of coarse, ap tiny's (okay maybe a little biased but they're so darn cute, pyramids jr 4, and power sr. 4( way to work that dance section girls, loved it)

I just wanted to say that I watch the Diva's warm up and what they did on the comp floor does not do that routine justice. They did the full routine fullout with music in warm ups and nailed it cold and the entire room stopped to watch and cheer them on. That routine is one of the best things I've seen all season and I'm proud of them for holding their heads up after not having the best performance they could have. I can't wait to see them hit it on the floor next weekend. Go get em next time Diva's!

Love,
a Legend

Maybe that is the problem. i do not know many successful programs that run thier routine full out in the warm up room. Not very smart coaching. Also, it does not matter what happens in the warm up room, it matters what happens on the floor
