The best part of this competition.  Was watching royals come down to the floor to cheer on Motions and Motions coming down to cheer on Royals.  TEAR Drop.  This was so nice to see the two teams support eachother.  These teams are both true champions.  Great job motions and congrats on your first place.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed overall with what I saw today.  I did not see one clean routine the whole day.  Now granted I missed a couple performances but nobody really wowed me.

Power's teams had some rare tumbling issues on level 3 and 5 (I missed their level 4 routine so I don't know if that was clean).  All of the Cheergyms teams had stunting and/or tumbling issues and were lack luster in energy.  Airborne's Sr 3 and 5 gave Power a run for their money and if they would have been clean would have beat them.  I also thought level 3 could have gone to Airborne.  Power's stunts were solid but two girls crashed into each other in the middle of the floor during tumbling section and they did not have as many tucks as Airborne.  Airborne had a couple of stunting bobbles but clean tumbling so I thought it was a toss up, and at level 5 if Airborne's stunts were solid (none came down, but some were shaky), that division could have also gone either way.

Cheer Divas coed team really struggled which suprised me as stunting is their strong point.  Motions coed was good but was not clean either and Royals was good until the end and ended up taking 2nd.

There were some good routines, that when they are clean will be great.  I always think cheergyms has great routines but they had an off day today.  Jr 4 was their best performance, I thought, but not completely clean.  Power is always great but they are expected to be clean and it is always somewhat shocking when they are not.  I didn't see the usual amount of enthusiasm and energy in their routines today though.  I know they will be their usual awesome self at the next comp though.  I really liked Airborne's routines and when they are clean they will be tough competition for everyone.  Athletic Perfection had some good routines also, just not clean either and All Star Elite is definitely an up and coming gym that people need to watch out for.

These are just my thoughts and opinions and I am sure not everyone will agree with them, but I hope everyone got home safely and can't wait for everyone to step it up as National's gets kicked off next month!

Even though I am from Airborne and I love our program I do believe that we had problems in Senior 3 that added up.  Power has full team toe bhs and standing series.  We do not.  We have a crazy cool pyramid, but it was not clean.  The team with the least amount of mistakes took home 1st place.  Dont worry we will get in the gym and get ready for Palm Springs.  Thanks for the support and congrats to Power on a win deserved.

I thought the Sr 4 division was exciting today and had some great talent. Very few mistakes with all 5 teams.

Also, I loved the San Jose Legends Sr 3 team. Haven't seen them before. I thought they were really good.

I also liked the Pyramids Jr 4 team.

I do agree that POWER had more but I also think thay Airborne could utilize their kids better.  They could put up a lot more stunts. POWER deserved first.

Besides that, the energy level was horrible today.  Royal and All star Elite has great energy.  Oh I should add Cheergyms.com college team.  I am sick of looking at teams where hardly any of the kids are smiling.  Power's level 5 had a girl who was tall, blonde, in the center of the routine at the end.  She was having so much fun!  I wanted to jump in and dance with her.

As for POWER parents.  I met some great parents today and had wonderful conversations.  I think your program is amazing.  I did have a run in with one parent.  When the senior 5 came on, I stood up and clapped.  This mom behind me yelled "sit down".  I turned around and I said (very confused) "I'm just clapping".  She then said, "MY DAUGHTER IS ON THAT TEAM!" and I replied " I am going to sit down, I am just clapping." She cut me off and said, "sit down".  She looked at me as if she was going to climb over the seat and beat me up.  Is there a rule where you can't stand up and clap when the team is entering the floor? I'm not saying that I hold something against POWER for this but FYI, parents, fans, and friends, this is just weird behavior!
