The competition so far has been pretty interesting to saythe least. Most of the gyms had a really hard time today. Norcal Youth and their junior were really good one of the best teams. Ucf junior 3 did great had a bobble but looks really strong. The tiny division all the teams have stepped up and looked great. All the senior teams look weak for their divisions. Roseville cheer starz open level 4 did great, they were clean and choreography was better of the three routines. Cal spirit isnt ready for level 4 but had a great showing for their first time I love how postive they are. UCF had the most difficulty but they just seem to change their routine every performance so they looked unsure and sluggish today. The dance is something to be desired(dont care for it) maybe they added new members because they look like a team that hasnt practiced that long together at all. this team has a lot of potential and talent they just looked like they added new members or something or had some injuries. they just dont look polished at all. can anyone tell us if this is a new team working together they looked stronger before but have taken at least 2 steps back. norcal senior 5 was fun as usual, not what we are use to out of them though. but they looked great. Always a good performance out of them. supreme wasnt too bad but def not power or some of the norcal strong level 5 teams. They would be great at level 4. Humboldt well all i can honestly say is they need some new choreography and help with music. The cheerleaders are hardworkers you can tell. Ace was ok. cant remember too much about them. Premier had some good showings, very clean routines. Cheer xplosion did ok nothing really that stands out with them rebels elite had good showings all the way around.
top contenders tomorrow i would say tiny: UCF rebels and roseville mini 1 cheer w a twist youth level 1 rebels elite small junior 1 cant remember youth level 2 missed that divison totally junior 3 UCF if they hit all stunts senior 4 cheer w a twist senior coed ed 4 rebels or riptide open senior 4 roseville or ucf(if they get their act together, kinda sad this team went down hill was rooting for them)
those are just my opinions my team did not do so well today but we are hoping to do better tomorrow . Im not a judge so please dont hurt me to bad

I would suggestif you don't want anyone to comment on your "opinion" then don't comment at all. The comments from these 2 or 3 people are jaded and one sided as you can tell. As far as the teams you commented on, I would say many programs had an issue on the senior side of things. It just bugs me how people on this board are so ready to cut teams down.
Wow, I have to say I disagree with most of the comments here, it's like we were at two different competitions. I was very impressed with CV in Senior Level 4. CWAT struggled horribly. They may do better tomorrow, I hope so. I would be surprised if CV was not in first place going into tomorrow. Nor Cal Elite's Senior 5 team struggled with their tumbling with multiple falls, but strong stunts. I thought Cheer Xplosion's senior teams looked good, but not their younger teams. Premier looked strong, especially for being so new. California Spirit Elite's youth team looked the best from that gym. Roseville's teams looked better than I've seen at past competitions. UCF's Level 4 team looked strong at GSSA, not so much today, but that could change tomorrow. I enjoyed Supreme's Coed Level 5 routine. Just some additional observations.
I can't wait to see how everyone does tomorrow, it's a good thing for most gyms today only counts for 1/3!
Let's talk about the competition itself, not the routines. Was it just me or did others have a hard time hearing any of the announcements? And why no schedule? For $15 per day/$25 for both, we should be handed a schedule. Most people around me didn't print one out before they left home. If you wanted a schedule it cost $5. They also announced no flash photography or videotaping. I don't know how much that was enforced. But the announcement I did hear that floored me was the one about how security will scoop up anything left on empty seats, and they didn't mean after the competition was over. So if you go down to watch your child in that special area, does that mean when you go back up to your seat there is a chance your stuff will be gone? I didn't get that part.
Other than that it seemed to move along nicely. The snack bar offered a chicken caesar salad, a nice change from hot dogs and nachos. I like how easy it is to get to this venue and there is plenty of parking ($7). I wish the parking fee was for both days though. Two day competitions sure do add up fast in cost.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow. Let's all try to cheer everyone on!

Well I am not a judge either. Although I agree with you. Senior 4 has to be Roseville clearly their competition was not ready. I dont think I was too impressed by the other team at all. Maybe tomorrow we will all be suprised. Good luck to everyone.
UGHHHHH I hate that when teams have an off day all of you say that you are dissapointed and that they are no longer a good team. Let me know if your team has had a perfect season with no falls or touchdowns in any routine in your gym. If so then throw stones. If not then please dont belittle a team that clearly works hard. I have watched numerous level 5 routines on youtube this season and it is rare to find a routine that does not have an issue (touchdowns, missed passes and stunt problems) . I doubt that you would say that World Cup, Cheer Extreme and F5 are not good teams , they have all had issues. Give these kids a break, competitive cheerleaders are always training to be better and by you tearing them down instead of letting them learn from their mistakes you will only dimish their drive to want to continue in the sport you love.
Level 5 Grand Champs goes to Nor Cal's large limited senior coed! This team received the highest score and went against Supreme from Lancaster (small senior coed limited), and their other NCE level 5 teams- small junior coed and small all girls senior. You should have seen the huge trophy- 6 feet tall! The senior teams did better on day 2, and the youth and junior teams did awesome on both days. Congrats to all NCE teams!
We need to get away from thinking that all a team needs is tumbling. Tumbling is needed but there must be execution in ALL areas, from stunts, to jumps, dance, timing and stage presence.... You must have the whole package.. when teams have some of each we never know the outcome until the judges evaluate the whole team as a team... not as one, two or 5 tumblers.
The coaches will review the the notes and share it with their team and learn from it.

Hey everyone this is a note that supports UCF =]
Your assessment was correct about UCF 4 on Saturday. All our team has dealt with illnesses, injuries, new kids walking in the door, and kids being kicked off the team this season for various reasons. Saturday was no exception. Sudden injuries in the warm up room, a girl being kicked in the head so hard that she was delusional on the competition floor, but still performed with a smile on her face through her tears. Yeah. The team survived day one in second place despite all these weird events. Day 2 was a different team all together. They looked more energetic and performed overall better.
Our other teams were so fun to watch and something to talk about as well. Good stuff all the way around for UCF.
The event was a ton of fun. Lots of great and sweet wonderful cheerleaders, coaches, and parents. It was really an enjoyable two day competition.
senior open level 4 1 roseville - grand champions level 4 2UCF 3 california spirit
junior coed level 5 - one in division
small senior level 5 one in division was nor cal elite - grand champions level 5
THERE YOU GO THERE ARE ALL THE RESULTS I WILL KEEP MY THOUGHTS TO MY SELF . I WILL SAY THAT THE JUDGING WAS VERY FAIR AND ACCURATE. ALL THE TEAMS PLACED EXACTLY WHERE THEY SHOULD'VE. THERE SHOULDNT BE ANY COMPLAINTS ON THE JUDGING AT ALL.
overall this was a well ran competition it is def a favorite and at the top of my list. from getting in to seating and the awards were great. not too muchn onesense in between. they offered the usual junk food you get but also had a healthy vendor there with fresh made salads and sandwiches. it was extremely nice. plenty of computers to veiw and shop pictures and even someone who cam around to guide you to get the best deal and save money. most def one of the cream of the crop orginizations and well ran competition all around
