as parents i dont think it is your responsibility to know the scores at a competitiong. Parents don't understand scoring, let alone the majority don't understand how to use it as positive criticism to improve for the next competition. it is just easier to to leave it to the coaches who actually can use it towards the betterment of the team.

for the parent who said they would like scores to know if their team was close or far from other teams in their division. if you can't tell whether or not your team was close or not from other competition than you might not know cheerleading lol. alot of people who truly understand cheerleading (coaches, judges, and cheersmart athletes) can tell after watching the routine how well they should place or relatively.

and as for the parents who said not posting scores would stop teams from going? what about the fact that jamz has some of the most exciting staff around. i mean how entertaining is the staff during awards and in between routines? i think little things like that are more important than announcing scores.

Couldn't disagree more with you on this one.  As the others said, other sports have scores, that is how we determine a winner... scores.  We have every right to hear what they are.  Let the coaches take them and decipher what they mean, and then make adjustments.   As for the Jamz staff being entertaining, I would agree they are fun to watch.  But I guarantee if you took a vote on what spectators would rather see, scores posted after a competition or the Jamz staff dancing around, I know which one would win.

it doesnt sound like the person is comparing they just said most of us would talke announcing scores if we had to choose. Jamz staff is wonderful and fun and the kids love them to death. they make the comp fun for them which is what is all about.  most of us would like the scores announced like other sports

Yes, the post simply said given the two (jamz entertaining in-between results or hearing/seeing the scores posted at the end) most would choose the scores. Personally I found the post from Alex insulting, I thought he/she was being sarcastic at first. Anyway, attendance at future Jamz competitions will be the determining factor and I hope that Jamz figures it out and makes some changes. To say that we all don't need to know the scores because most don't know cheer and it should be obvious just looking at the routines is a ridiculous statement to make.

Why would you say something so mean to me? I wasnt saying it in the since of accountability in answering to us.  Most orginizations announct the scores or post the scores.  I do know that one time we received a place higher than we should have and when we saw the posted scores to where we were placed we notified the company and they gave the correct gym their place...

what you said was very rude and uncalled for. I was simply stating it would be nice if thery did post the scores... not deductions, choreography or anything like that.

you need to chill out and stop starting trouble.  everyone on here is not out to get drama started and honestly me posting i think they should pos scores is a minor issue compared to what has been said about jamz on this thread try to have a better day wink

The gym owners and coaches have the scores.  They send them to the gym owners and coaches ONLY for those who attended.  So since you did not attend as a coach or gym you do not need them.

you are rude just like the other poster!

furious

Thank you for bringing that to my attention.  Wow you reallys have issues.  I think we know why
