not saying royals performance wasnt great but a deduction is a deduction. if it doesn;t matter then cheer gyms all across should do illegal stunts and be able to get away with it.

so when you oover rotate in a tuck and land on your butt, the judges miss it what usually happens....a penalty. That is such a poor exuse.

Wow ! I feel bad for Royals, the judges may have made an error or just plain overlooked this, but it seems to me its not the Royals fault.

def not royals fault and can understand how you would feel bad for them! they shouldnt take the heat i guess..

I feel bad for those teams that competed and didnt get judged fairly as well.

that is why it needs to stop. noone wins really.
the team that won gets the heat on things while the jamz company counts the money they just made
and the teams that were not judged fairly miss out on their righful places and sit and wonder what went wrong. again while the jamz compmany counts their money
the gym owners have to sit back with frustration while jamz counts theirr money
the parents ahve to deal with "oh well lets just keep giving them our hard earned money" while jamz counts their money

not one person is a winner when their is such a huge mistake made and it is evident that a company not just this time continues to judge unfairly.

IF YOU DONT HAVE A STAFF MEMBER ON JAMZ STAFF STOP ATTENDING UNTIL IT STOPS.

If you are a jamz staffer and you are affiliated with a gym, do the right thing for the sport of cheer and request a change within your orginization

I agree. The poster came on here, admitted the error, their coaches even went and told the judges about it. This sounds like it should be a contention with the JAMZ judging, not with Royals.

There were many other teams that did not get deducted. I saw an entire list of things. So not just the royals.

I agree that jamz messes up, there were a lot of 10 point deductions i saw that were not caught.. motions level 2...cheer odyssey minis did a stunt that another gym did before and got a 10 POINT deduction for...which put them in last place... I think royals did great!! MOtions did great! I saw motions at GSSA when they let go of their pyramid which made it illegal when the flier went over supported only by one side, and they still took first...I think companies make mistakes, and it is not ONLY jamz although..I must admit I see it A LOT more at JAMZ... GREAT JOB to all the teams! We look forward to seeing you at more competitions!

if it really matters then why bash anonymously. Like i said in another post, there is a correct way to handle these issues. Take it up with Jamz instead of being petty and childish.

Before u complain about deductions make sure u know the rules as well, alot of the time we think we know but actually DO NOT.

Again, judging is subjective and subject to error, and im sorry u weren't the benefit of this that particular day. from what i've heard and put together, ROYALS was amazing. I've seen Motions coed and i must admit they are pretty AMAZING as well. However, that particular day, Royals came out on top. why is it so hard to deal with? and why after every mistake thats ever been made in cheer history (assuming the premise this was a mistake as you all assert) then why does this particular one get so much HEAT?

anyhoo...i can't wait for jamz nationals. I'm throwing together some awesome new routines and debuting a new coed 5 routine. fun times right? see u there =)

*warning* the following is my opinion, take it for what its worth

I may not coach any of the Motions teams anymore, but having been a coach and PD there for 6 years I obviously still have some ties there and, I believe, a right to say what I am about to say.

If you are an athlete, friend, family member or fan of the Motions program quit saying that Motions was robbed, cheated, judged unfairly, etc. Rather, do the following two things in their specific order:

1. Admit that Motions Coed was beaten by a better team yesterday. It may be hard to swallow, it may not feel good, but admit it anyways because right now, that is the truth.

2. Do something productive about number 1. If you're on the team, are you tumbling? There's a handful that don't, so get some tumbling. If you do tumble, how is your technique? Most Motions athletes know how I feel about layouts...I have yet to see a real layout performed at competition this season. Hit your stunts cleanly, leave no doubt. How's your motion timing? The point is, make yourself better for your team and then when you are at practice, don't waste time. As your music says, "don't get jealous, get better"

Is this true? Perhaps returning the awards would have been a class act.

My kid is on Motions Co-Ed - and after watching the 3 teams - forgetting about any illegal stunt drama if there really is any - I felt, after watching, that Royals did a better job. I even told the kids who asked me right afterwards- I thought the Royals were much cleaner and did a better overall routine. I think our kids have a great routine too- they need to clean it up. Land that tumbling (Lots of kids had touch downs - tucks to knees -etc) They need to hit their timing, etc etc etc. Time and commitment in the gym pay off on the floor.

I hope this 2nd place motivates the kids to perfect the routine before the next comp.

Why? If they went to the judges, and the judges still felt they deserved first, why should they not accept it?

My daughter used to be on Motions, there were a couple of times when I didn't expect my daughter's team to come out on top, but they did. I never thought "well, that's just not right, they need to give back the trophy". The judges judged and that's that. My daughter's coach took the comments and thought about what changes were needed/areas needed extra work and focused on that.

I heard that Royals scored a 101% from a judge on the panel? How is this possible? I know that at some companies the level 5 competitors have the oppurtuniy of scoring an 11 on a 10 point bias, but never a level four team?

I am not trying to start drama, I am just confused as to how this can happen?
