Are you kidding. We probably won't get results until late tonight or tomorrow, and that's only if some one posts it. They've never updated their website with results in the past. This is one of the worst run comps I have ever been to, it always runs late and has no food. So glad we are not there this year.
somebody has had to hear something from someone who was there! is this comp over yet? i did hear from someone who was there early today with school teams and they said the weather was awful and the place was packed crowded and miserable
well the last of the awards was over about an hour ago but i didn't stay for that. at least they figured out how to set up the stage differently this year so that all the seats could be used so it wasn't as bad as last year trying to find a seat. i may post more in a bit but sad to see titan elite small sr 4 had some problems with stunts but their tumbling was good. magic small 5 also had some problems. a girl from fierce sm 5 ran off the stage as soon as the music was done and threw up and they were cleaning something in the middle of the stage after them but i don't know what it was or if someone had thrown up earlier. there was a cheerforce team in the time slot where their small senior 5 was supposed to go but i think it was their junior coed 5. they had a few problems, one of the opening stunts fell and i think a small problem with the pyramid. oc sm 5 and orange crush were a no-show. flyers looked great. i think it was magic sm 5 that opened up with 6 stunts. they got new uniforms too
Sm. Sr 5: 1st...Calif. Flyers 2nd...? 3rd...Fierce Legend 4th Magic 5th...?
Fierces small lev 4 was amazing! They have so much energy, and the stunting was incredible as well. I loved their opening too. Flyers had very creative choreography, loved it and it was fun to watch. Titan looked strong, just a some problems with stunts/pyramid. Rc fell apart, if they would have stuck their pyramid, and stunts they would have been fine. Pace adult (open?) lev 6 was absolutely amazing! A team full of talent and SO much fun to watch I think a lot of teams had kids competing today that were sick and or injured so it was hard for them, hopefully everyone gets some well needed rest. This comp was fun (imo) just jam packed, it was hard to find a seat, but it has improved this year since last year I will say that.
yes. only four teams in small senior 5. in my opinion, california flyers, victory, and our level five from fierce....are pretty evenly matched. Magic's small five would have won the division if they would have stuck... they had alot of stun problems. everyone had obvious mistakes. it could have gone anyway, if one team would have perfectly stuck their whole routine. but that didn't happen. granted everyone sticking EVERYTHING it would have been...
1. magic all stars 2. california flyers/ fierce 3. california flyers/ fierce 4. victory
i have yet to see oc's small level 5... but supposedly they have full squad fulls on this team now, since they had switched from the large to small division. and obviously cheerforce would have taken home first if they would have been there.
magic's routine is definitely a world's bound routine with the difficulty packed in. what a beautiful pyramid. also... their partner stunting has an awesome opening, with 6 group fullups. it's impressive.
california flyers do not have too much difficulty, just very well choreographed with extreme creativity, and stuff you've never seen before. they throw a routine that is different and very creative, and one that they will always hit.... and nowadays, clean is ruling over difficulty that doesnt hit in judging panels. which it should be. thank god!
our five did allright... seeing as how many changes they have went through this season. the EVIL flu has been going through our gym for the last three weeks and it has definitely affected some of our athletes recently.
victory... not too much difficulty at all... but they threw a clean routine, and its their first year being level 5... i gve them much props for doing what they did. and beating teams that have been around longer in the level 5 division.
in my opinion... the placements were correct for the whole day. it was a good competition... but the warmup succcccccks. it always does at this venue though.
great job to all of california!

I just watched the youtube video from OC large and I only saw 15 fulls in the tumbling section, some looked recycled, so it would be hard to imagine that they have a full team of 20 now that they went small. Maybe I am totally off but if they do that would be awesome!
