I would have to say that all17of the judges had it 100% correct in who they gave the bids to and how they placed the teams at the competition this weekend.  It was obvious to me that the judges awarded all the bids to the highest three scoring teams at the competition.  In regards Myths yes they had some strong aspects of their routine, but as a routine they are definitely weaker than the other teams in their division and to be very honest I am not sure how you can say that your tumbling is stronger considering you only throw two doubles in your routine and they were not even taught by your coaches, they learned them at their previous gym.  I would suggest that you get the everyone is out to get us attitude out of your system and start concentrating on building your own program and developing your own athletes.

Congratulations Good luck to AZ Power Extreme Small 5, Desert Storm Elite Large Senior 5 and Desert Storm Elite International 6 Co-ed at Worlds Im sure you will all represent the VOS well.

WOW! I could not agree more! And just a note to Arizona Myths...just because you started talking about how you thought the competition was rigged, doesnt mean people in Arizona are worried about you...clearly this is not the case considering your placement all year long. And Im pretty sure when your coaches left our gym they didnt have a huge "following"...certainly not any of our 'doubles'. However, I do wish you the best in the development of your own program.

Honestly though...i think the area of the competition that was the most intense had to be between the two Open 6 teams...Desert Storm Elite and Arizona Myths....they both brought 2 incredibly strong routines to the floor but both had a number of mistakes in prelims...I dont think anyone at the competition knew who would get first...I think watching these 2 Open 6 teams was the most entertaining.

Anyway...i've said what I needed to say...so now im done with this lame argument smile

How does someone know how many judges there were? (unless)

my first guess...look up atthe judges table and count the judges!

considering all judges on ALL panels judged the worlds division, the 17 judges were obvious to everyone at the competition.

Or how about if you were a worlds team and got your score sheets back...thats another idea too.

Besides....at no competition i've ever been to has the number of judges been a secret...I dont think thats the case here either.

the whole competiton was redicilous (just my opinion) (not sure how to spell rigged).....

If this is a coach writing: I would hope that you would have some understanding of scoring, which I am sure you do! But these remarks lack the knowledge of a seasoned cheer professional or maybe it is just sour grapes. Who knows!

if this is a parent or other spectator writing these comments:
let the coaches do THEIR JOB, improve from competition to competition, learn and IMPROVE from the scoresheets and judges.
Let the JUDGES do their job, they are much more experienced than you!

1) The correct spelling is RIDICULOUS. But you did manage to get rigged spelled corectly. Good Job.

2) STOP THE CONSPIRACY THEORIES. last poster was right, look at the judges stand, look at the number of scoresheets, or if that still isnt enough READ THE EVENT PROGRAM.

3) Top teams at nationals across the country, and at WORLDS are often separated by less than 1 point, tenths and even hundredths of a point. THERE IS NO HIDDEN AGENDA! DEAL WITH IT.

FYI: this is from their website for all the world to see!:
1st Desert Storm: 78.606, 2nd Az Heat: 73.622  3rd: Az Myths 72.843

that comp would have been represented well even if that Open level 6 division had ended up going the other way. >>>>80.25 to 79.712. Wow!

Congrats to all the bid winners AND runners-up, the judges, coaches and teams did a great job!

Since I'm from California- just wondering how any of our teams did. I heard there was a few there, and that the  senior level had problems??? Nothing to do with judging problems just sloppy as the previous post stated.

What does it matter, who taught them their doubles???  I'm sure no one is discounting the tumbling passess on other more well known teams,  just because some of the kids walked into the gym with already amazing tumbling skills.
