the whole competiton was redicilous (just my opinion) (not sure how to spell rigged) lol teams were beat that were clearly better than other teams, (girls from the other team came up and said I think you guys really did beat us) when you have a team that are throwing double fulls and standing fulls and are still beat by teams that aren't throwing any double fulls and last pass is a tuck! go figure!

Hard to know what you're talking about? Any specifics???

I'm pretty sure the teams your talking about was SLOPPY! Don't care if your throwing squad doubles. If they are a MESS, then they are a mess. Don't talk about skills if you don't have them clean.
Actually, I have to say I was there as well. I know what team is being talked about. None of our teams were there for the world bid, but we do like to see what talent is out there. It was obvious to me and everyone else around me after the preliminary round that a particular junior 5 team was totally cheated in the scoring. In the preliminary round, this team performed the cleanest and had more difficulty then the other teams they were against. But, the judges still scored them in last place in their division. It was wrong and totally unfare. As an outside spectator you have to wonder what is really going on with the judging. I do have to say though, that the next time they came out they weren't as clean, but you have to wonder if they weren't discouraged after the scoring. I will make a comment on the doubles, this team has two little girls with strong doubles and they land them perfectly everytime. I would love to have these girls at our gym.
I beleive Desert Storm 1st, Arizona Heat 2nd and Arizona Myths 3rd. None of the Jr teams got a bid.
All the teams in that division were sloppy and the placement was correct. The person posting is talking about one area of the scoresheet and needs to be educated on how cheerleading is judged.
I can honestly say that the Myths team was totally robbed. Not only was their tumbling better, but their stunts, pyramid, and jump sequence were just as good. How does a team that hits all of their stunts and tumbling minus 1 or 2 touchdowns get last place in prelims especially when the other 2 teams dropped major stunts and had falls on their tumbling. Even the 2nd place team didn't have a double. Other coaches from teams even when up to the Myths coaches letting them know how much in shock they were to hear that they are in last. Unless you were there, then you'd understand the frustrations of this certain team. It just wasn't fair.
I would have to say that all17of the judges had it 100% correct in who they gave the bids to and how they placed the teams at the competition this weekend. It was obvious to me that the judges awarded all the bids to the highest three scoring teams at the competition. In regards Myths yes they had some strong aspects of their routine, but as a routine they are definitely weaker than the other teams in their division and to be very honest I am not sure how you can say that your tumbling is stronger considering you only throw two doubles in your routine and they were not even taught by your coaches, they learned them at their previous gym. I would suggest that you get the everyone is out to get us attitude out of your system and start concentrating on building your own program and developing your own athletes.
Congratulations Good luck to AZ Power Extreme Small 5, Desert Storm Elite Large Senior 5 and Desert Storm Elite International 6 Co-ed at Worlds Im sure you will all represent the VOS well.

Looking at the score sheets, since Myths is a brand new program, they are definitely NOT to be overlooked! In regards to the only two doubles, our Myths coaches are definitely responsible for teaching those. Remember all those coaches that left, uh, yeah.... they had a following. And yeah those were also the coaches that taught privates and are personally responsible. Hey my fellow Myths, remember, people don't talk about you unless they are worried about you! We are right on track

First of all, no one said that the teams that got the bids didn't deserve them, they very well did and I'm sure they will represent Arizona well. and I don't think that they have the "everyone is out to get us attitude" they just want to go out there and do the best that they can and get the placement that they deserve. In regards to the two doubles, if they learned them at their previous gym, then why aren't the girls that they trained with AT their previous gym throwing any doubles?
