They can choose either category.   Last time I checked the regulations you could have up to 4 boys on an open team.  Where as Co-Ed is unlimited.

heard their coach told them it was cancelled. I dont know if it was cancelled for just their program or the whole competition in general. While it is a small event, it looks like 5 teams wont be competing against anybody. Maybe there will be more teams that register day of. Can they do that? There are still 5 days until the comp so we shall see what happens.

the reults from this were shocking i thought. People were being placed in places they shouldnt have even been close too. Bladez sr 5 was the poo ad should have taken first no doubt. They were the best team there. Scv deserved first in small senior three and got second, and actually bladez got 4th. It was a rough day for a lot of teams though. Bladez sr 3 dropped half a pyramid, someone from victory had to be carried off of the floor. crazy day, people didnt get what they deserved but its over and all the teams will only come out stronger.

Bladez junior coed 5 was amazing. If that routine hits they will be without a doubt the best junior coed 5 team in cali.

yeah its weird...doesnt cheersport usually have fair judging? i thought bladez sr 5 would win for sure. the california surf teams look much better this year. is it normal for the judges to sit so close? it seems like they would be able to see everything better if they sat a little farther away. and i think the 6 minutes between teams was way too long. 2 1/2 minute routine and then a minute each to get on and off the stage is more than enough. they got ahead of schedule at some point and then just waited for time to catch up. anyone know why magic sr 5 wasnt there? i was looking forward to seeing them. its still pretty early in the season so things can only get better from here biggrin great job to all the teams no matter what place you got

Indeed it was a rough competition for a lot of teams. I can only speak for our program when I say that after winter break we had a few injuries that we had to work through in a very small amount of time. In our program we teach our Athletes that you win some and you loose some. Sometimes results are not as expected but you move on with pride and honor, knowing that you did the best you could. Thank you to everyone for all the kind words and support. CONGRATULATIONS to those who won!! It was a great competition with a lot of great teams!

I want to CONGRATULATE BLADEZ for pooring their hearts into this weekend considering the circumstances. All your coaches love you and are so very PROUD of each and everyone of you!!!

Coach Orby
Coach Eddie
Coach Juan
