how was the small senior 4 division? i heard it was supposed to be tough. I heard american was the only ones to hit, fierce was sloppy, cheerforce had some problems and got deducted big for smething being illgal, cheerz was good. What did you guys think?

Did Pyramids Small Senior 4 compete? My guess would be no since they were all busy getting that level 5 bid. Probably a good guess.

The only teams that cheergyms.com took were the All-American Juniors and Senior Ltd Coed, so no, neither Pyramids nor Motions competed.

Yes the small senior 4 division was tough! We had a hard day saturday and thankfully pulled it off on sunday! I believe cheerforce and colorado showstars had penalties saturday, then came back on sunday and fixed them! It seemed like almost 3 teams in every division had penalties! The rules just keep changing!!

Cheerforce had an illegal pyramid. I guess it was the same one that was acceptable at other comps, just not this one! They did awesome on Sunday, just not enough to pull it off....

I haven't seen any of these performances or heard any specifics, but sometimes a team can get a penalty for an illegal pyramid if part of the pyramid falls or even comes down a bit early. With the requirements for specific braces, penalties can happen inadvertantly.

Might be what happened in this case.

From what I heard at the competition, a section of the pyramid was considered illegal by the judges. It did not come down early or fall. They received a large penalty for this and had to re-work the pyramid before they competed on Sunday. Even after sticking the new pyramid on Sunday it was too late to come back.

The Same type of thing happened to Airborne in Dallas. they were 14th after the first day because of a illegal pyramid section but then changed it and moved up to 7th. When something like this happens you can chose to buck up and push harder or let it defeat you. Good job Cheerforce. I know it must of been discouraging. Way to stick with it!
