USASF has a new rule this year that allows for "alternates" in addition to the 10max substitutes. The coach can place a certain number (can't remember how many but it is small) of additional names on the roster in case of injuries. So, if you are already injured and can't compete where you get the bid, as long as your name is on the roster as an alternate, you could then compete at Worlds. Hope that helps.

First, virtually NO ONE had a clean routine, and a lot of the heavy hitters had some MAJOR issues. Right now, Cheerforce Small Senior and Arizona Power Extreme Small Senior are the first two in line for worlds bids, followed by California Coed, Power Large Senior, Cheer Central Suns Coed, and Power Small Senior.
Woodlands Elite large senior was a hot mess. Don't get me wrong, I love that team, but they fell all over the place and are fairly far down in the ranks right now.
Cheerforce Small Sr. and Arizona Power Extreme Small Senior were absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Kiara is a KEY factor in Cheerforce's success, but that team is just amazing. Big time contenders. Az power extreme had a few tumbling busts, but they're right up there with the best of em'.
Power large senior was pretty dang good, but dropped two stunts which is KILLER in this competition. The deductions can really hurt you here. They hit the 12 stunts in the beginning and then dropped two in the group section.
Bullets coed looked AMAZING, standing double, great stunting, and the best tumbling I've ever seen from this group. A few tumbling busts is what's keeping them out of the paid bids position right now.
Surprise surprise, everyone else makes mistakes and a gym comes out and shocks everyone. Cheer Central Suns Coed came out and really rocked their routine and find themselves in a great position.
The worlds international divisions were not great, but Cheer Central Suns' juniors and Cheerforce's junior coed were both GREAT and are 1-2 for that bid by not much. That will be a great battle today.
The small junior 5 division is one of the tightest races out there. CA Bullets was good, but Woodlands Elite came out and showed everyone up. They are just PACKED with difficulty. But, bullets re-did a lot of sections in their routine, so it's much cleaner now. So they both look Awesome. Both had deductions, so we'll see.
CA's Small Senior 5 once again experienced a rough competition, and are down and out of the worlds bid race. They had some severe falls in the very beginning of the routine and a girl was clearly hurt (couldn't even jump) but they kept going and lots of stuff didn't go. It was sad for that team.
If everyone hits today, it could be a different story when the rankings all come out. We'll see!

There's too much on this thread, I think one focusing on their performance and results this weekend is a good idea -- Worlds Watcher, can you post yours there too?
