As a fan and a parent, I love to see routines from teams I have heard about in this and other forums. Since the chances are I will only be on the West Coast for business not related to cheer, it gives me the opportunity to watch these awesome teams
As a coach I agree with our owners wishes that we post no videos of our teams anywhere until after the competition season. For me it is not so much a stealing of routines or routine parts, but giving teams an idea what you have so that they can (if they decide to) adjust their routine specifically to match up against yours. In an area where we are often overlooked by the major gyms, it helps us to have an element of surprise when we come to the mat.
My opnion on the matteris this.. if you do not want your routines videotaped or seen on youtube..don't compete. Your performances will eb seen eventually..get over it =/

My opinion on this is that it is just plain rude to post videos of another gym without asking their permission.
Maybe in a few years we may have to be concerned with people not associated with our gym posting stuff on You Tube. That is one of the benefits of being a smaller program, I guess. However with larger, more well known programs it is almost like a media frenzy...who can put so and so's routine up first...lol...especially if they do not want it up.
I just think that someone who is not associated with a program should not post videos of that program, unless they had permission from the appropiate people.

Agree with this 100%. If they want to post their videos, they will.
