Didn't see juniors but we watched their seniors co-ed.  They have the talent, they just need to clean it up, they had multiple falls.  I enjoyed the routine and I didn't think the "cheese" was cheesy at all, it was different and fun.  It will be fun to see how they do against the other coed level 5 teams in our area.

I spent a little time cleaning up this thread. Negative comments referring to specific teams and comments that quote them or argue back and forth have been removed. Dont be offended if your comments or parts of them are missing - they may just have referred to something that was removed previous to it.

Let's see if this thread can remain about the competition and not who you think should be what level, who you think sucks or whose momma your Tinys could whoop because they're sandbagging and/or on crack. Or whatever.

I was wondering how this topic went from nine to seven pages!  *lol*  Thanks for doing that.  It was a little annoying with all the quoting and sniping.

Yes I agree GSSA needs to do away with so much downtime.  I don't think they need 15 minutes of breaks very 6 or 7 teams.  I understand that they need some time to compile the results before the awards so i think it's ok that they keep the kids entertained during that time.  Basically i'm ok with the fun and games if they could do away with long breaks.

Stand out teams for me were:

Ariels:  I've never seen you guys before and I was very impressed with all of your squads.  Your fans were great and spirited too!

POWER:  I missed your senior teams but I hear they were all amazing.  I thought your Small Junior 2 was very entertaining.  Can't say enough about your spirited fans!

Fusion:  First time seeing your teams and I was excited since I heard good things. you lived up to the hype..and you can only get better.  I especially loved your Junior 5 team...very impressive..you should be proud of that performance.
Pyramids:  Always my favorite teams to watch.  Your teams are always so crisp!!!  I love the perfection of routine and sharp execution.

UCF:  Your teams get better and better with each competition.  Keep working hard and keep challenging those girls.  I love the theming and originality of each routine.  It leaves an impression.  I felt your youth team deserved 2nd.  They sparkle.  Your Junior 3 has improved tremendously since I first saw them at the POWER comp.  (they are my fav.)  I respect your decision to challenge your seniors.  They are getting better and better with each performance.  Mini's are adorable!

Royals:  I felt your Junior 3 team did very well. You have some amazing tumbling on that team.  Keep up the good work!  I also really enjoyed the Youth 3 team...those girls work it!

All american:  i loved the routine. it was my favorite of the day.  it's my understanding that you haven't even practiced much together.  I am amazed.  Great job!

I agree too! Thumbs up to the athletes and coaches from that team, you were very deserving of that win!

I think that EVERY team was great to watch and each team was judged fairly with the exception of AP Youth 2. Those girls deserved better than what they got. Were the judges on a bathroom break during their performance? Clearly that must have been the case.

Gosh, Monitor 7, when you said you were going to clean up this thread, you weren't kidding.  Not everything in life is rosey as you would like it to be.  People state their opinion and you delete it.  What's the point of stating it if it's not up to your liking?  You might as well have closed it and left it at that.

I agree AP Youth was placed lower than expected.  But I do have to say there was another club that was placed lower than expected and that was UCF.  I personally think they fell victim to performance order.  Had the performance order been reversed, the team would have placed higher.  The youth levels are fantastic this year.  It's amazing what a bunch of 9-11 yrs olds can do.  Great job youth teams.

I think people cannot rely on their name anymore. Programs that were maybe once good are not consistently placing last or close to last in lots of divisions. Other peole are stepping up and it does not seem like other programs can do that . I think that in stead of complaining they need to look at what they can do.

MOnitor 7 I want to thank you for taking down the really bad stuff.  It was starting to get out of control.  I thank all the monitors are doing a great job at trying to keep things as clean as possible on here.  Yes this board is here to state your opionion but read the rules and it tells you to pretty much keep things clean and any topic is subject to deletion.
Personally if you are on here using names of orginizations and calling people bad names etc... then it should be deleted especially if you are annoymous (like myself)

good job monitor 7 we appreciate you

Scores are Up!

Looks like in the cheer Divisions POWER took the top score.

There were also very high scores in Dance.

Great Job!

I got to see both and I think both teams did well! they both had some minor issues but its their first time out and this is a team (i think) that only practices together a couple times a month.  I mean our gym was practicing for the entire summer together and oh boy do i wish we could take back the first competition...  it was so bad.  But we have improved now and we are kicking butt lol

I enjoyed both teams and i could see the talent.  I think you guys did awesome and can't wait to see you guys again later on in the season.  I think the comments will def. changewink

I AGREE ESP ABOUT UCF. I THOUGHT THOSE GIRLS WERE FANTASTIC AND I WAS SHOCKED AT THEIR PLACEMENT. BUT ALL THE YOUTH LEVEL 2 TEAMS WERE FUN TO WATCH.

ACTUALLY IT WAS A GREAT SHOWING AT THIS COMPETITION.

Agreed! I thought UCF and AP were one of the best teams in the division. Aerials was VERY skilled, but their transitions and flow weren't solid in my opinion. I hate scoresheets based on skills alone.  I thought Pyramids Youth was good, but their baskets were a bit messy and their elite section should of been cleaner. Just my opinion.

I have to agree with all of these post. Aerials did a good job, but choreorgaphy and transistions were really not ggo at all. Skill wise they were comparable, but not clean or even strong as the other teams.  I judged it at UCF first then cheergyms or AP taking secind and third (either way) aerials 4.
I thought the team placement had something to do with the places they got.  There was this long huge break before cheergyms went on i believe so it was like starting over again.

Youth teams were all amazing, but dont agree totally with the places.  but hey it can go either way at competitions.  I know that all of those teams should be proud of their perfomances
