yes they will both be at cheersport. I think it will be a good match up. They have equal skills, i think it will matter who has a better day with cleanliness.

I can't wait to see Airborne in person. I've only seen then on YouTube. You teams look great.

To answer a few questions and state my oooooh my opinion lol. Club sprirt appeared to have a couple of injuries so I am sure they had to make some changes etc to come to the comp this weekend... just a guess since two girls walked on the mat, one with a borken arm and the other with crutches(just an educated guess)
Power senior level three (in my opionion only) did fantastic I believe that it was a great competition between UCF and Power. I honestly think it could've gone either way.. So congratulations to both teams. Power didn't have that many level 4 skills but they did awesome moving up (obviously). UCF is looing strnger at each competition and i think that people judged them unfairly in the beginning. As each competition passes they seem stronger and more confident. I did see that UCF had a couple of 2 girl stunts which was nice to see.
Pyramids senior 4 always a great team to watch, but they seemed sluggish today for some reason. NOt the usual peppy performances they give, but the senior coed 3, WOW loved them they did hreat fun to watch and action packed. I really enjoyed this squad it was one of my absolute favorites...
Motions today i have to agree seemed a little sluggish but hey they are always entertaining to watch. felt bad for them when the pyramid fell, but we all have our days. Still fabulous.
OMG power senior 5 was off the hook! The absolute best team of the morning no doubt. I cant even say enough about them!!! They were amazing.
All american team (am) was super good as well a few mistakes but how many times do they practice? I dont think it is as often as mostsquads, so in my opinion what a talenetd buch of kids on that all american team WOW
aerials surprised everyone with the senior level 3 squad and took second.. They looked much better this time around. I do have to say they take a lot of stuff form other gyms that they compete with and use their things(exactly the same stuff) not saying that there is that much wrong with that, but......... it doesnt say much for creativity(my opionion) but great showing
the biggest upset was yOUTH level 2 aerials took firts but honestly (my opinion only) that place belonged to UCF or cheergyms. I think placement in performance order played a huge part in that(my opionion only). Was a strong team just didnt feel they deserved first place
Royals were quite sloppy today, maybe a lot of changes but wasn't feeling them. Not to take away from them, they have had better performances. Every gym has those days
My favorite team of course was the special needs team... it warms my heart to watch them and o love the young lady who jumps up in down with excitement when she walks on the floor.. so stinking cute. LOVE THEM GREAT JOB JODI(?) and cheergyms.
Junior level three was amazing. UCF put on a fantastic performance. It was one of my favorites for the evening. They had some awesome tumbling and they were solid, sharp and just fun to watch.
Ok those were my opionons and I enjoyed the teams that were there.... but i too was sooooooo freaking done with GSSA and the long breaks. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS and the small concert like thing with all the cheerleaders on the floor dancing no excuse me - the kids jumping around was just not necessary. they took way too long and they are getting pretty close in my opionion of out doing JAMZ on the freaking long awards and breaks. Please coaches and gym owners send in comments and tell them to keep it moving. OMG im still frustrated.
Power Senior Open 3 did have competition because there were 4 other competitors in that division. I dunno why they went 4.
Ummm...were you at the competition??? While there were several other 3 teams in different divisions, the were NO other Sr Open 3 teams. Take a look at your schedule again
No Risk? If they are a level 3 team, and they challenge themselves and compete level 4, thats a huge risk. Most gyms drop down or out when the going looks too tough. Not Power, they always seem to push higher! I am a new fan!

I completely agree....they put it out there AND took it home! I would think that any tumbling mistakes in the routine were probably due to changes that were made to increase the skill level from 3 to 4??
All in all I thought the morning session, which was all I was there for, was very entertaining and for the most part, all "level" appropriate...did not see many teams competing "above" or "below" where they should have been.
The special needs team made my day! What a wonderful, wonderful thing for these kids. I loved the one girl who just danced she was so excited
L2 Small Senior Cheer -------------------------- 1st - Cheer Xplosion 2nd - Starstruck 3rd - Royal All-Stars
L2 Large Senior Cheer -------------------------- (Anyone know the results?)
L5 Senior Cheer ------------------ 1st - Power (they were soooo awesome) 2nd - Fusion
Those were the only ones I had, anyone have any others? How about from the afternoon? It's nice to see all placements and maybe GSSA will post scores soon.
Just a few issues I hope GSSA will take into consideration (I plan to email them). After recently attending Jamfest in SF, and knowing they are now partners with GSSA, I had higher expectations than previous years. My biggest issue is with the way in which the seating was handled. Not allowing the fans of the performing team to sit in front was ridiculous. Did anyone notice that EVERY time a team came out, they had to announce that you could not sit on the cement? And the coaches, there was no place for them to sit or stand to watch/support their teams. Another thing was to allow an entire team to sit in the front floor seats for the whole Jr. division? Sooo frustraing! GSSA has learned a lot from Jamfest (free admission, allowing video/cameras) but should consider the "spectator" section that Jamfest alway has. Also, did anyone else notice the blinding spot lights (if you were able to get to the floor to watch your team)?
I wasn't there to see Open Level 4 perform. I know there were three teams. Was POWER's Level 3, who competed in 4, not deserving to win that division?
I thought they were quite deserving of the win...very clean entertaining routine.
The key word there was "clean". Power Open 3 put a clean performance on the floor. It looked like the same Open 3 routine with a several girl throwing layouts instead of tucks. No 540's, no double downs, no kick fulls, no standing tucks. But sometimes that's all it takes. You wait for the other teams to penalize themselves. They didn't out skill the other teams certainly.
UCF was technically stronger- throwing level 4 skills - without a doubt. That team had 3 two-man stunts on the floor, in addition, they had 5 elites total, with only 18 girls. That's guts! They could have easily put up 3 to 4 safe stunts and kepted their elites super clean. However, when you take risk you chance a fall and that's what happened to them. UCF was the better team yesterday, if the fall didn't happen, and I won't be surprised if they don't end up the National champs by the end of the season. UCF has officially ranked themselves in the level 4 category. And I might add those girls stunting those two mans are stunting right with POWER's level 5 team. Great job UCF! (Perhaps, CHEERGYMS should call UCF up and set up their next partnership. Those girls can stunt their booties off. Just a thought)
Rebel Open 4 team had a rough day. Where did all that tumbling come from? What a difference from last season. That team certainly have grown with some great talent. The team looked a be nervous today and perhaps not everyone is comfortable with the routine yet. It's tough to see a pyramid not go up. Probably it's just a timing thing. Rebels will get there.

I agree. All the parents were extremely polite and stayed up in the bleachers because of these rule. However, the parents should have been allowed to come down to the set on the ground floor when their kids were performing. The kids really enjoy all the noise right in front of the performance mat. That noise helps the kids so much. Maybe next year.
Can we all just move on to another topic besdies Senior open 4. There were so many wonderful performances yesterday Lets focus on them. Who was your favorite. Mine was Def Power Large senior 5. I have never seen anything like that in my life. They were so good. How do girls stunt like that ?
I'm thinkig two man stunts can be performed by plenty of level 4 teams out there, don't kid yourself into thinking that will lead them to national champs by the end of the season. It was close and maybe without mistakes they would have beat Power, a level 3 team that moved up to level 4 for this competition. I agree that they are doing okay in this category, can we just leave it at that? I hope Power's open level 3 stays in open level 4 because it will give that division the added competition it needs.
yes but it is an open message board for evey one to discuss different things. I am sure if cheergyms didnt want us to discuss power they would close the message boards to just their gyms. They have specific boards on here just for their teams so I don't believe anyone is doing anything wrong...
oh and yes there were lots of other great teams to watch besides level 4 open, but that was a great competition between those two teams because power did move up. so everyone was waiting to see how things go and hear about it. im sure that is why it is a heavy discussion right now
I am from ucf and i think both teams did great (and so did rebels). Power had a very clean routine and maybe that is what the judges were looking for. our team dropped a stunt but technically were stronger level 4 wise. I know our girls were happy with the results as much as they could be and knows that maybe if they would have hit that stunt it would have made all the differnce in placement. Not one girl walked of the floor disappointed after awards.. power is the team to beat in all divisions and they were just happy they were close to thier score for first(knowing they got deductions)
so congratulations power level three you guys did great!
And congratulations to our UCF squad who also did great. some one said it ealier in the post, we all knew it could go either way
