the full paid bids went to top gun large coed and also to ace warriors small coed. as far as at large bids.. i have no idea where they went. the awards ceremonies were spread apart!
also competing in the large senior coed division this weekend was pro cheer (they showed up to the competition on sunday morning and competed early in the morning since a few of their boys had a wrestling match the day before).
maryland twisters f5 looked great!
cheer extreme lrg sr. had a few mistakes, but their stunt was incredible and incredibly difficult!!!
stingrays purple had an accident with one of their boys, but he is going to be ok! they hit teir routine, but had to stop in the middle of their dance because of the boy. stingrays large coed looks pretty good though!
pro cheer lrg coed has a lot of talent and great choreograhy as well.
i didnt get to watch the small senior division very much but i got to see stingrays large senior and they're really good as well!
what a fun weekend.... very different than the west coast! cheergyms.com should go to an all star challenge national... they're so much fun!

Sorry, I'm a newbie. I keep reading about "Worlds" where is that held and which company holds the competition? Is it a true "worlds" competition (not like some that say "nationals" and they're just teams from southern or northern California)?
Last question, do they televise it? Sounds like a great competition.

Oh my. You are a newbie. Welcome to the world of cheer! USASF is the organization that created "Cheerleading Worlds". And yes, it is a competition where teams from around the world attend. You have to have a "bid" to attend, not just anyone can register (ok, I know some of you would debate this as there are so many bids now). The competition is televised on ESPN2, and is at Disney World in April.
Best recommendation is to go to USASF website and take a look. We'll be glad to answer any of your questions.

Thanks Worlds Watcher and Tamara. The level 5 teams are so much fun to watch at competitions, I can't imagine an entire competition composed entirely of level 5 teams....it must be incredible.
Oh it is! It is! So much so that myself, WW and a few others took over the Motions gym last year so we could watch it...starting at 5 AM!! AND most of us didn't even have a cheerleader on a team that was competiting! But it was worth it! I'm just hoping USASF allows the web broadcasting again.
Sorry for being off topic. I tried to think of something to write on topic, but I don't have anything to add. Sorry again.
Gotta brag just a bit on my daughter's team, the ACE Warriors! They were very excited to get their paid bid at All Star Challenge and maybe even more excited that they aren't in the large coed division with Top Gun this year! The TG routine was absolutely amazing!
Really enjoyed watching ACE do their "jump on it" dance after the bid announcement with Top Gun joining in!
ACEDAD, you brag as much as you want. And make sure you tell Elmo great job! Having the bid so early in the season takes that pressure off so now they can concentrate on workin' the routine!

Tell her folks from California say CONGRATS! To receive a bid early in the year must be nice, I imagine it takes some of the stress off of the remaining competitions. I wish I could see the "jump on it" dance, any video?
ACEDAD, if you are still on the boards can you give us update on the At-Large bids? I'm so confused trying to figure it out from the other board. It sounds like some teams determined up-front that they would only accept a full paid bid, and therefore were never in the running for an at-large bid. So, some teams received at-large bids when other teams received higher scores? So is this the "loop-hole" that will be used for the new rule of "no passing down bids"?

Not sure if I would call it a loophole or not, but it appears that some teams are saying in advance of the competition, they will not accept an at large bid. Now, even if a team was offered an at large bid, they could still decline at that time and the event producer could offer it to another team. They just can't offer it to another team, if the original team "upgrades" later by winning a paid/partial paid bid.
