Ooohhh that skirt is tooooooo small! Right at the bikini line, not the waist. Eek. It might be ok for an older girl but not for a lil girl. Cute none the less.
I am sorry i have to agree with this, the skirt is cut way too low! Not okay for even big girls, maybe it's just the material or the waist is elastic, still cute, Good Luck with your season Fierce!
i do agree that the skirt is a little tiny but we should take into consideration that not every girlsskirt fits the same. There are always girls at the gyms whose bottoms are a little small when they come in and sent back to the company that made them to make any alterations needed.
Personally I think it's GREAT for the younger girls as well! They wear way less at the beach and that's in public. A cheer competition is indoors and only cheer people go. So, forget the "too small" ideas. They are GREAT!!! Hey, (and this is before my time I want to add) women weren't allowed to show their knees or wear bathing suits. Why would anyone even THINK that way? She's a child!!! So if the skirt is short, that's cause it's cute and functional, not to make her look sexy. That's impossible. She's too little to be sexy. I don't see that at all. ( I know no one said "sexy" but that's what you're afraid of. I'm just saying it out loud)
She looks proud and she should be. It's just adorable on her!!! Plus, she's wearing briefs. So everything is covered and perfect! Way to go!

Yes, the skirts are short, BUT, in my daughters situation I have to tell you, she has a very long torso, so it probably looks lower-cut on her than it really is. Believe me, I wouldn't allow her to wear anything "to short/low cut". Again, she is 12 and very small for her age. OC Mom, thank you for your reply, very well said!!:) I hope everyone has a great season this year.
I like crop tops but you have to admit not everyone looks good in them. It' not about being sexy. It's about a uniform fitting well. I agree the skirt is too low. Little girls tummys should not be hanging out it just looks bad. Older girls who may not be as toned look even worse when thier stomachs hang out over a too small to tight uniform. In a perfect world we would all have athletic toned bodies, but not everyone does. It's the same reason I don't like the Bladez uniforms the shorts just don't look good on everyone. Not being mean just stating my opinion. I think both these gyms have awesome talent, just not crazy about thier uniforms.

i agree and disagree with this statement which i understand it is just an pinion but i have one as well. I do not personallylike crop tops because for one i think full unifoms look cleaner on the floor and two, because crop tops dont look good on everyone. I have never sen one whole team where the crop tops look great on everbody but oh well, thats the uniform the coaches picked and the kids seem cmfortable enough to wear them. I disagree about bladez uniforms however because the shorts are different. I also know that because last seaon was the first season they, or anybody i know that had shorts and the uniform companies first time making them. While the shorts were a little small last year, i know that every girl had to have their shorts checked this year by the coaches. If the coaches thought the shorts didnt fit, girls were having to get new sizes. I completely respect programs like this too because they are making sure everybody fits in the unifroms. jmo
It's nice to see a team try something different. The Bladez uniforms are cute but I agree the shorts were way too small on some of the girls. It just did not look good. If the gym is making sure that everyones fit this year, then they must have known not everyones did last year. I noticed that when they were not performing all the girls wore thier warm up pants. I give them kudos for trying to fix it. I don't care if it's crop tops or regular tops as long as they fit and look good. I do like Airbornes new uniforms.
When did it become unacceptable for a "child" to have a belly or look unflattering in a cheer uniform? Aren't we sending out the wrong signals here? "Crops don't look good on everyone" tells our kids that if you aren't perfectly flat in your stomach, then something is wrong with you.
These kids work out quite a few hours a week. To me, that is more important than the weight, bellies, chunkiness, etc. I have witnessed girls who were MUCH larger than the rest of their teammates going all out on the floor and without breaking a sweat! I would run across the mat once and have to sit my fat rear down!!!!
Being overweight is NOT good for you in more ways than we can list here. But we are also telling these kids that if they aren't thin, then they are less than perfect. Now, this has nothing to do with the fact that some of us don't agree on the age/crop issue. But I also think that if we are going to say they are too young, then they should be wearing 1 piece swimsuits till they are 12 as well. I allowed Emily to wear a 2 peice when she was 2. Was that inappropriate as well?
NO ONE IS PERFECT....except for me..... (did I just say that out loud?)

" ______________________________________________________________ I don't think anyone was trying to say this. Just the opposite. That every girl no matter what size or shape should look and feel comfortable. Especially in thier early teens, when they start getting very self consious about thier bodys. Take a look around at the next competition and really look and see if everyone is all that comfortable. How many times have you seen some girls with thier arms folded over thier stomachs. Most girls when they are not competing run and put thier T shirts on. So if your going to wear crop top uniforms, or shorts for that matter they should fit properly on everyone. Unfortunately most of the time they don't. Uniforms should look good on everyone not just a few.
I agree not everyone is made the same, nor should they be. There is enough pressure put on young girls by the media. I like crop tops and there are alot of gyms that have managed to have uniforms that even though not everyone is a size 2 still looked good because they fit right. I've have also seen quite a few girls that looked extremely uncomfortable in some of these uniforms. I think that is the point that is trying to be made.
You are so right "Uniforms should look good on the majority, not the minority" Yes parents, grandparents, family and friends attend these competitions, but did anyone ever think that so do people who don't belong there, perverts, child abusers and sex offenders there for the free show we are offering. Who is going to notice them, Half of these competitions are dark in the stands and there's no one at the door checking people in.
I know that sounds gross and no one wants to think about that, but this world is such a diffrent place, people are not trustworthy, ever smiling face is not an innocent one. Look at the news read the newspapers people are really insane! I know we can't live our lives for others, but we must be very aware of the world we live in. I REALLY HAD TO COME TO TERMS WITH MY DAUGHTERS UNIFORM!! Put on uniform, makeup and you just added two years if not more to your childs age, not to mention if you have to straighten thier hair etc.
Fierce my beef is not with you, Your team is not the only gym with these type of uniforms, please do not be offended.
Fierce the uniform is very cute, love the new stars, and lettering and I have always liked the two tone! Good luck with your season.
Oh youare sooooo right. Perves are everywhere. But trust me on this, AND I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT, they are at the malls and beaches 90 to 1.
I just don't want to have any child think that they are less than perfect, even if they DON'T wear that uniform like that size 2 girl. And I know that's not what was implied either. I'm just making sure we don't go too far with this. Crops are adorable and my own kid was feeling uncomfortable in it at first. But she loves the freedom and coolness it provides.

I am a cheerleader and I feel extremely comfortable in a crop top (i am in good shape) however i see other girls who do have stomachs spilling out that feel comfortable in a crop top as well. It is extremely hard to get girls to not show their stomachs. Some girls pull there skirts down low on their hips most likely because that is how girls wear regular clothes these days, even tho it doesn't look good on everyone that is how girls feel comfortable today. At my high school it was against dress code to show your stomach and we had a huge problem with the cheerleaders on game days at school. All the girls would wear there tops n sweat pants rolling them down low so their stomach would show, and again even the girls who didn't look good like that did it. It came to be such a problem that if you wore the sweat pants you had to be wearing the pull over jacket with it. Don't get me wrong, I have seen girls that do not feel comfortable in a crop top, just more often I see girls wearing them or wanting to wear them that don't exactly have the "athletic" look. I do agree with OC mom tho, obviously if they are doing allstar cheer they are getting 2-3 good work outs in a week, just not everyones bodies work the same.. <3the improved fierce uniform, but i was also wondering about the white one fierce coach had been talking about...

I think your response is very realistic as regards many teens attitudes towards clothing due to today's fashions. I admire their confidence.
We have lots of girls who are comfy in crop tops who don't fit the 'athletic' mold though they are incredible athletes and they are completely comfortable in their uniform. In fact, I haven't seen any of them running around at comps trying to hide their bodies. I wish I had been more satisfied with my body when I was a child/teen, but then I had a mom and dad who made sure to point out my plumpness. Love 'em lots, but they thought shaming would make me try harder to be skinny and stop me from being a 'fat' adult. Just made me self concious when I looked as good as I ever looked...a size 12. I would never ever ever talk about a 'belly' to a cheerleader working our 5-6 hours a week!
Our kids look pretty good in their crop tops and I believe it is because of an "insurance" policy they sell when you buy the uniform. It is $10 or so, and if the fit isn't right, it covers alterations if you get them done within a 2 week timeframe after the unis are delivered. They try very hard to get the fit right on all the different body types. When they measure at the onset, they are very careful and take their time.
We (some moms) did figure out after an amazing number of 'belly' shots were coming up at comps, finally realized that most of the photogs are sitting on the ground shooting up which would probably even put a belly on Paris Hilton.
Hello again. Okay, as far as the white uniforms, I believe that they are for our team LIV. I THINK that is the adult team (open/international/ i have no idea) I have not seen those yet, but I have seen the sample, and is beautiful. They will make their debut soon...
