Who else thinks the International Bids distribution is unfair for this competition? There are currently 7 teams in the International divisions, 4 of those teams are juniors (3 all girl and 1 coed) and 3 are seniors (all in different catagories). The distribution is listed as 3 bids for seniors and 1 bid for juniors. This means that no matter what they do all seniors international teams will get a bid?? That even if the Junior teams out score them they still only get one bid?? This doesn't seem right to me, anyone else think so?
One of those Sr. teams that are in the international division went to Worlds last year and didn't even deserve to be there. Maybe this is an easy way to get to worlds, rather than earning it.
I agree. At least the All Girl divisions have great comp-- I mean Cheerforce, Power, California, Az Power Elite. I think all of them were in top ten at Worlds last year not bad at all. Large has Power, Woodlands Elite, American and Fierce. Also not a bad line up. However, the Small and Large Coed divisions are really weak in terms of depth in competition.
Team 1 would compete at Comany A and win an At-Large Bid. Team 1 would then compete at Company B and also win an At-Large bid. Because they already had an At-Large bid, Compan A would pass it down to the next team with the highest score. In some cases these bids would get passed down to a team that actually came in last place.
Now companies are not allowed to pass down these At-Large bids.
