I am so glad bids aren't handed down this year. There were alot of teams that had gotten bids handed down to them last year who did not belong at worlds. Especially in the large senior five division.
2 Paid Bids 4 At Large Bids 4 International At Large
That's WAY too many!! That's just like saying: If you are a Level 5 team, no matter what your skill, you get a bid...because we know some of those top teams will get bids elsewhere- causing them to hand bids down....is that correct?
If you think thats too many, CheerSport is giving 12 partial bids, and 12 at large bids!! Now thats going to be an interesting comp. Also remember EVERYONE must compete in Prelims at Worlds, no one automatically makes Finals anymore. So if a reall good team has a bad first performance, their chances of making it to finals are slim!!
Bid Limitations The Cheerleading Worlds: A team may receive no more than one bid to The Cheerleading Worlds, Paid, Partial Paid, or At Large, for any given division. Should a team already have been awarded a bid to The Worlds, decline acceptance of a Paid/Partial Paid, or fail to accept the Paid/Partial Paid bid by the deadline noted, that bid may be transferred to an alternate team at the sponsoring event producers discretion. NEW!The sponsoring event producer may not hand down any declined At Large bids. If a team has already accepted an At Large bid and opts to compete for another bid, they will be eligible only for a Paid or Partially Paid bid. They will not be eligible for another At Large bid unless they decline the first At Large bid they were awarded, BEFORE competing for another At Large bid.
thank you much how exciting i love watching level 5 teams its amaziing how far cheerleading has come. It really amazes me the new things each gym comes up with the next year to keep things fresh and exciting!!!
im willing to bet teh 2 full paids will go to California Lrg Coed and Power Lrg Sr
Before the season started I would agree with this 100%, but I think that there are going to be some surprises!! (Cal me the Anon Surprise poster: I posted the prediction that CO would beat NCE, and POWER beat Cheerforce) This time, I think we need to realize, the best of the westside, literally, is all competing for those bids. That is crazy to me!!! All the big dogs of the west coast are going to be at this comp. Every team that has gotten a bid to worlds over the last few years, are competing for 2 paid and 2 at large(or is it 4 at large, can someone confirm? I thought it was 2 at large for sr 5's , and 2 Intl at-large) Think about the caliber of this competition. It gives me goose bumps already!!
Sm Sr 5: Lg Sr 5: Sm Coed 5: lg. Coed 5: Power POWER West Coast Mavericks California CheerForce American Cheergyms.com California Fierce Nor Cal Elite Nor Cal Elite Woodlands Elite
Sm Jr 5: Jr Coed 5: Sr Intl 5: Cheergyms.com CheerForce CheerForce California Nor Cal Elite Nor Cal Elite?
What divisions are LVE, Cheer Central Suns, and West coast Rush in? And does anyone know if Brandon All Stars are coming back?
Im pretty sure Brandon is coming this year in Small Coed and do not count out Cheergms.com for the paid bid. I hear they are looking super strong. Also, there has been some great buzz about Woodlands Elite on the Large All girl 5 division, so it is going to be a great comp

Wow, that is WAY too many!!! What is the difference between International and regular? It looks easier to get a bid in international
It is a much easier than the traditional small/large co-ed bids but powerhouse gyms across the country will be stacking up an international team but it's definitely 2nd rate.
I think with these changes in the international divisions we will see much better teams going for those bids in the US. And I also think we might see some better teams from other countries in these divisions. So hold on to your hats. I don't think these will be "easy" bids any more.
