A friendly suggestion, it's better to list the winner first.. readers might not see the placements on the left, our eyes tend to jump right to team names.
I agree that it was a very competitive competition. I think it's better to be the underdog going into day 2, it takes a little pressure off. I wish they both counted the same, take the best score from both days. Why should one day count more than the other, it really makes no sense to me.
I am exhausted both mentally and physically what an amazing weekend. Our guys and girls really worked their butts off. All of the programs were amazing this weekend. It was so nice to see girls from different programs sitting and playing together. I wanted to comment on a few things because I heard some comments on the way out of the auditorium.
We at Odyssey are a great program and in no way did we mean any disrespect to the 2nd place programs in our divisions. My daughters team Senior 2 Aeries has approx 70% of the team which is brand new too all stars and this is their 2nd time winning first place so they were overcome with emotion and started cheering during the 2nd place announcement. We did try to tell the girls to wait until Odyssey was announced but again they could not contain themselves. Another reason why our girls were so overcome with emotion is because of all of the talk on these boards telling them they were not good enough to compete in Level 5 or against teams like NCE ect. When someone tells you that you cant achieve something and you do, It is just such an amazing rush for these girls to beat such a worthy competitor.
Nor Cal I wanted to say your team was Phenomenal and you really gave us a run for our money. I really enjoyed watching the Nor Cal teams. I just love the choreography style. I assure you our coaches were doing their best to tell the girls to wait until their team was announced. I am sure this has happened to other programs and I hope all of you know, our program meant no disrespect and congratulate all of you for the great competition. It was close and we know that we can expect some tough competition this year. Thanks everybody and well see some of you on Dec 1st at Jamz.

well said I no from experience wen someone says you cant or wont accomplish somthing and you do it is an amazing feeling that is absoulutly hard to keep so and we ment no disrespect to any of the teams especially NCE they did amazing!
Did not get this either. All the teams had a fall/something not stick, but was really, really surprised.
I know that it can be hard to accept coming in second, but the judges evidently gave Evolution a higher score and put them in first place. You've heard of being a gracious winner, well you can also be gracious when you lose. Congradulations Evolution Dragons.

I really liked Rosevillle cheer starz routine a lot, I just wished they didnt have so many falls in tumbling I think they would have done way better. I heard a little rumor that they got a ton of points taken off on day one. Its too bad really liked their showing yesterday. CX was really good as well but had problems on sunday. All three teams did well, cant wait to see them later on this year
Who is your post referring to? It's perfectly fine to question results. I'm not from CheerXplosion and I was scratching my head too. Did the judges see the same routines? Nobody is taking anything away from Evolution, just commenting on how surprising the results were.
I sat through almost all the routines over the weekend and there were a few results I didn't understand. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. Our team hasn't won when we felt we should, but we've also won when we didn't think we would, so hopefully it all evens out for everyone. All you can do is congratulate the winner and move on, working on your routine to the point where next time there will be no question as to who the winner is. That's really the best you can do.
for all yall asking about the point difference between odyssey and nce... i believe odyssey got like 88.76 and nce got an 88.74 not right on but they were that close
Wanted to pipe in about senior level 4, the bottom line is Cx had a better day on Saturday, too many costly mistakes on Sunday. Evolution dragons had enough points with Sunday's routine to take the win. In 2 day competitions your best day has to be on Sunday. I enjoyed all three routines.

Then everyone could run home and see what level everyone 'thinks' each team should be in. Then all teams should adjust their levels based on everyone's opinions.
Personally, I think the teams have the right to compete and adjust their levels based on what they think is best for their kids and their program. If they are in the wrong level, they will figure it out. We should all stay out of it.
Great jobs to all the teams that competed this weekend. Great music, great energy, GREAT routines and lots of smiles. You are all stars!!
Well said.
I AGREE WITH YOU! WHY DON'T MANY PEOPLE JUST MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS!
I sort of agree here even though the post was kinda rude. We should be supportive of a gym regardless of whether they decide to drop, stay, or raise their level. I have a lot of respect for those gyms who challenge themselves by starting the season at a high level.
Regarding some of the placements we're puzzled about, need to keep in mind that deductions will kill you (well, not literally). You may have the better routine with more difficulty but little mistakes here and there add up and cost you in the end. It's always a gamble ... unfortunately you don't get rewarded for throwing in more unless you land everything perfectly.
