i always loved this comp does anyone know if they are going back to the part w stadium seating instead of on the floor thats the only part didnt like last year

no cheergym teams this will be 2nd year not there i think i hope we compete with them i love watching pyramids and esp. motions

Wouldn't it be great to see all the bay area teams who are competing this weekend at the same competition?? Too many competitions and too many scheduled on the same weekends this year! Oh well, what can you do. Best of luck to all of you, let us know how it went.

Everyone had a great showing!! Airborne Sm Sr 5 looks really good. Always flashy, TONS of skills! OH MY GOSH...there were so many fulls, but at the begining it wa hard to tell what was going on, it was kind of scattered, but the from my angle i saw one to fulls, a prettty step out thru to full pass, which looked like it could have easily been a double. The only thing was that they put up 4 stunts instead of 5, and maybe there were previous injuries or something, but thats going to hurt them in the long run. But all in all, love the Sr 5's uni's!!! OMG..its so cute and so twit and shout!

Everyone did amazing yesterday. Rebels Elite had some strong showings. Starstruck had a rough day it looked like they had to make some changes but you could see the potential. Airborne teams were great, but i have always been a huge fan of airborne I love their style and the coaches and gym owners are just so nice. I missed their all girl level 5 team but I heard form everyone it was the performance of the night. Cheer divas looked stronger in level three and more confident. you could tell they made changes and were working through them butthey did great. Legends- the team with the red white and black had a good showing as well. Legends -with blue and white and black was there but my mind cant recall too much from them, but they did well also. The teams that shocked me most were Aerials- they looked amazing clean and stronger this year. Their teams are looking good they need work on choreography and you would expect better technique and harder tumbling passes for a gymnastics center. BUt they looked really good.I was shocked. The parents were loud in the stand tons of team spirit, but outta control talking about people from other gyms. It takes away from their program especially being a new gym. You could hear them complaining and telling everyone they got ripped off while standing by other teams that beat them. The coaches showed a litle bit of bad sportsmanship when one of their teams didnt place shaking their head on the floor at awards. other than that their teams are really strong all of them. I think they are going to surprise a lot of people at GSSA and give them a run for their money.
The other team who looked strong was UCF! They had an amazing night as well. I wish they had more spirit in the stands it would help the kids. Their tini team is very clean but needs more difficult stunts. the youth team did amazing the ones with the pink bows they are starong and sharp. I dont quite get the music it takes away from the routine. I understand they have a legally blond routine but it seems to throw the routine off just a little bit it makes you sit in the stands and say what is going on then say oooh i get it.
the level 4 team looked stronger this time im still not sure if they need to be level 4 but they did great i think i remember them having one of the higher scores last night but dont quote me on that. a few dropped stunts but tumbling was strong i dont recall any touch downs like last time. Their flyers need more facials or something they are missing the uummph factor when they go up. I think if this team cleans up hitting stunts and add more tumbling like full squad tumbling and hitting all their stunts or makine some changes they will do well at level 4. They still need tons of work but i think some people misjudged them they could be a strong level 4 team with some hard work
there were afew new all star teams and i felt really bad for them both uniform wise and skill wise i dont think its fair to bring teams to big competitions like this and basically let them get humiliated. dont get me wrong its good to challenge them but it is also smart to stay small until you gain knowledge in cheer and choreography and tumbling. they had them in levels that were just wrong and one team appeaerd to do a hip hop routine/cheer that is bad and weighs solely on the gym owner. i dont want to say their names becasue i dont want to embarass or hurt them more.

other than that AB didnt seem like the old AB comps with all these great teams having awesome showings makes me wonder why the big team names werent there maybe for a reason. too much time in between performances made for a long day. i liked when they made cheer teams sit on the side and parents had front seats. too many teams in the stands hogging the front seats. most of the gyms were polite enough to give the parents the front seats is called neing polite when the seats are limited. and besides it was so annoying having the kids runn up and ddown the freaking stand while teams were performing

they didnt have a section fo rteams to come down and cheer on so that kind of stunk
AB has had better comps but still not bad always enjoy them

I agree, Airborne Level 5 was STRONG. The problem I had beside the four stunts was that the ending dance killed the routineIt was all going SO WELL but the dance let it fall to boring level. There was no punch factor.

Thanks for the input about the dance section and all of the other critiques. After watching the video some things will be changed and worked through. Thanks for your opinion.
