South Bay Elite was changing there name before the permit issues were brought up. That was not the only reason for them closing.
No matter what the reasons, I think the point trying to be made is that they were not really a "first year" team or gym. Although they got a new name they have the same coach and same kids. Good luck NCE for your quest for Worlds again. Work hard and stay focused. Lets get as many California teams at Worlds as possible!

yes we still had Roy yes some kids were the same but definetly not all. if you are not on the team you cant make that assumption. There were just as many new kids as old. The gyms are completly different. Southbay and Norcal are not the same thing. Norcal was a 1st year gym. New owners,new kids, some new coaches,new gym, new way of running things.
