I'll be there too!!!! We are staying in San Jose too. Thankfully my aunt has an apartment she doesn't use on weekends. So its just me my daughter and whoever else doesn't want to drive back. I know we are going to California Pizza Kitchen in Valley Fair on Saturday night and maybe check out Santana Row. I am native San Joseian so I will probably go visit my old stomping grounds. Thankfully its not a long day and we will have plenty of free time at night. My daughter doesn't perform until 3:52 so I will be packing Subway instead of buying junky comp food!

Who are we kidding?! CO is just a stronger level 4 team then their level 4 team last year. By no means am I a fan of either this year, but NCE always knows when to be clean and safe with skills. They werent competing against anyone at JamFest, so they threw the skills they were working on. Why is anyone even second guessing who will take that division? CO had what, maybe 7 (recycled) fulls, and their best tumbler didnt even throw doubles, they threw a pass that ended in a tuck to punch out (not step out) and go through to a full. They have a few level 5 cheerleaders, yes, good ones at that, but you need more than that. NCE has the advantage of more level 5 skills and decent choreography. Best of luck to both, I cant wait to hear how it turns out. I dont expect any surprises!
are you kidding me NCE use the same people over for each team. BUT they are good. but they have like 10 year old flyers also. Atlease CO has flyers that are older then 10. So CO has the same people throwing fulls. but atlease they won fall.
So I wonder how much the parents of kids who cross over to 3 different teams pay?? That's a lot of money for the gyms to come up with themselves..why not have just 3 teams instead of 6?
That's a great question. Was that covered under the "crossover" thread, I didn't read it. I know of a couple gyms that have the children only pay for the comp fees for doing a crossover.
THEN WHY ARE THOSE FLYERS ALSO ON THE YOUTH LEVEL 3 TEAM??
there is one flyer, she is 10, on the NCE youth team.
As a parent of a 9 year old that does participate on two teams I should explain my point of view...If your child's tumbling ability has surpassed that of the girls her age I understand why you would allow her to compete with the older girls and allow her to double team. When the little ones are on the older teams they do not get much social interaction, they are the "babies", although the older girls absolutly love them it is good to allow the girls to have the experience of cheering with girls their own age for social reasons.
