Jr. coed is last years gemstones and they are very young. Most are still youth age.
Actually, oddly enough I think only a very small % of that team is from Gemstonez. I would be willing to say 10 or less. Will have to figure that one out to be sure!

Also a high % of the ones that are from Gemstonez are truly of Jr. age now!

WOW another fun mystery how do we figure that one out. They (CF) do not have a youth 5 this year.
Power: wasn't impressed- dull music(poorly recycled), horrid pyramid(though I'm sure it usually hits?), dance-it's always gonna be boring, I never expect much--eric little's not that talented(if he's still "around"). Whatever-- still love Power--- n their open team was pretty impressive, still had issues though.
Norcal: Okay, loved their 6 open team, but you know what team had me thinking fake level 5?
Cheer Force: They were good, but ya know, something's always off about their choreo and their music's always EGH--- ex: "smack that" by akon during their toss section?? Whaaaaaaaaat? seriously?
Motions Coed 4: Okay, honestly, I've never seen a stronger coed 4... but I didn't get any wow factor other than the tumbling section-- which was amazing.
Pyramids: Probably has the cleanest performers?
Premier: They're good-- I just didn't like seeing roll off after roll off over n over over again.
Royals: alright.
Swat 5: Honestly? Like really?? I don't know-- when you see a full squad throw ro bhs as a corner pass on a level 5 team-- does that look good?? Oh ....
Sac allstars 5: Um, I didn't get it at all...
Whomever made this comment was obviously not bold enough to bring their own teams. You really should not talk when your team is watching and not on the floor.
people enough of what didn't work this weekend!!! what were the high points of the performances and routines? what are stunts like this year, how about the basket tosses, how was the tumbling, who brought it with their dances? forget about the pyramids that didn't hit, what about the ones that did hit? what were they like? i read alot about the Level 4 performances and its great that people are giving Level 4 some spotlight. all we usually hear about is Level 5.
In the absence of videos, give us folks that couldn't make the comp some visuals
I was thinking the same thing. We always here about level 4 and 5 all the time. I have read about the Power/CF thing at least 20 million times. Also im tired of reading about the pyramids level 4/5 thing. Please lets discuss some more positive things. I always think its funny that most gyms are made up of mostly level 3 and under kids, but the majority of attention goes to level 4/5 teams. Next time your at a comp, look at how big the younger and lower level teams are. I think its time those kids get some due respect.
Hey, I'm from motions and I just wanted to say that cf's jr. coed was awesome. They hit a perfect routine and had the highest score of the comp. I only saw kiara compete on one team and that was sm sr. 5. Good Luck To Everyone and have a blessed season.
For me, I didnt get the hype from last week. Stunts fell, tumbling fell, transitions looked crazed with people running everywhere. I was looking forward to it but after all the buildup I was disappointed.

What about Legends? The new kid on the block?
Me too. Not what it was cracked or talked up to be.
alright... to clear things up i dunno if you saw the routine or not but by the looks of it you didnt but ONE stunt fell.. not stuntS and ONE tumbler toucheddown
you might not have been amazed by the routine but dont bash and over exagerate two mistakes
How funny, I thought I missed something. I did not see the power competition but all the talk on the board, I made sure to watch Legends. But even if they hit a flawless routine, they did not meet the expectations. It was very basic and very safe. The uniforms were cute but nothing different from what I have seen before just adding some silver sequins. I also was surprised at how well Pryamids Jr and Senior LEvel 4 teams did , they were great.....the power competition talk should of been about them.
the talk about the power competition was just about how we were a new program and came out there doing well and beating pyramids in our first competition..
our stunts are basic as of right now.. but our tumbling is way better than any level 3 tumbling
im just defending our team because we know we are doing well and you might not like our routine and think its safe and all this but watch when we win
Negative or positive, its what people think. Thats why we come to this board is to see what people think. The feedback whether negative or positive is REAL. Id rather read about what really happened or what a team really looked like rather than oh they looked good.

Well I didn't make the original post but I did see the routine. Here after POWER, the words "awesome" and "amazing" and "off the hook" were being thrown around. This poster did not lie, I saw a stunt fall that was then unable to recover and tumbling did fall. I realize it is early in the season but after all that talk after POWER, I agree it was a letdown. I'm not trying to bash Legends specifically but I think there is a problem in NorCal where teams talk big and think they are the bomb and then have some real competiton from SoCal or out of state and realize they're okay, but nothing special. I laughed when some NorCal teams went to NCA and Cheersport in the past few years and placed near the bottom. Big reality check, after they'd talked up how they were going to win and show 'em how its done.
Anyway I digress but my point is there are a lot of teams that need to shut theor mouths and let it play out on the mat. I would feel stupid if my team had talked it up all over the place and then turned out to just be average. Bring it to the mat, thats all that matters......
And I agree that Pyramids jr and sr 4 should have been the talk of both comps. Blew everyone else away.

REAL COMPETITION FROM SO CAL? WHAT CHEERFORCE? THEY BEAT US BY ONLY .02 AND WE HAD A DROPPED STUNT
WE CAN TAKE ANY SOCAL TEAM..
AND I AM THE ONLY ONE FROM LEGENDS THAT COMES ON THIS BOARD AND I KNOW THAT FOR A FACT.. SO IT ISNT LEGENDS THAT IS TALKING US UP.. IT IS OTHER PEOPLE FROM OTHER PROGRAMS..
IF THEY THINK WE ARE GOOD AND AMAZING SO BE IT.. WE ARENT A LEVEL 4 OR 5 TEAM AND WE ARENT GONNA HAVE AS GREAT OF SKILLS AS THEM
Wow! Settle down everyone. I did not attend POWER and was also interested in seeing Legends after all the 'hype' that was posted about them. I wasn't going to post because I only saw the ending 2/3rds of the routine.
But I will add my opinion to the mix. I agree Legends looked okay for a Level 3 team. I also was not impressed based on what I heard - sometimes when things are so hyped even if they are good they don't look like what was built up in your mind. The tumbling was strong level 3 tumbling other than that, like many teams, they just didn't seem ready.
Judging is subjective and everyone uses different penalty systems. That is what makes the anticipation of awards so fun. Today's .02 at Jamfest could be tomorrows 20 points at some other competition.
I REALLY wish I had the video's to post so everyone could just see it for themselves...maybe Legends or one of their parents should post a video to let everyone see what you are talking about. I know I saw tons of people (in Legends colors) taping.
Everyone take a deep breath and settle down...it's really getting old. Maybe one of our 'moderators' should just end this now. The competition is over and the results are in...see everyone at the next one...sheesh!
Legends 01 you are really making your team look foolish. It seems that since you are a new team as you yourself stated, you need to take some lessons on sportsmanship.
I did not think your team was anywhere near "off the hook", "awesome" or "amazing" and that is with or without mistakes. The tumbling is NOT the best I have seen in level 3 and the stunts are extremely weak.
I am not bashing you just stating facts. But really, like the other post said, just show it on the mat, stop the big talk!
I had a great day. Got to see some awesome teams. Loved all the teams from Cheerforce. Thier tumbling is amazing. Pyramids Junior Red where outstanding. Got to see Legends after hearing so much about you and I was not disapointed. Motions Coed 4 are so much fun to watch. Enjoyed all the division from the mini's, juniors and so on and so on. Can't wait for the next competition to see how everyone gets even better. Overall it was a great day. Thanks Everyone.
