LOVED POWER TOO! The missing aspect is the confidence we are all used to seeing from them. But as said before, they were throwing some serious tricks! Give them a little more time, and they will hit and sell those for sure! 12 stunts, all 2-man ..geez people..give them some props!

OMG - 12 realy? Now I am really mad I wasnt there!
No problem with the contructive criticism. POWER Large 5 girls knew when they got to the full up section that it would be hard to hit. That is the part of the routine that we have not mastered yet, but they are not looking to master it just yet. They really want to be pushed and if that means falling in November they are ok with it. I wont lie as their coach it is a little uncomfortable, but they wanted to go for it and I respect that attitude. I thought all of teams from so many programs really did an outstanding job yesterday. Keep it up everyone. I think it is going to be a great season.
i LOVE how the POWER coaches come on the board to answer any questions, address any comments and just give it to us straight. The routines yesterday were amazing!!! i for one can't wait to see their routines again. Best of luck to them this season!!!

If you define true level 4, then what I saw at JamFest....Motions Coed, POWER sr 4, Pyramids Jr 4, Pyramids Sr 4, AP Sr 4 are the only true level 4 team in their divison. Just from what I saw.

Now that we have seen a competition should we re-visit the topic of level 4 teams that have level 5 kids on them. How fair is this to the other teams that are true level 4?

I VOTE WE DONT REVISIT THIS TOPIC IF WE CANT SUGGEST GYMS MOVE DOWN THEN I DONT THINK ITS FAIR TO ADDRESS TEAMS THAT NEED TO MOVE UP I SAY DELET THIS TOO BEFORE IT GETS OUTTA HAND FAIR IS FAIR THIS WILL LEAD TO CRAP AND I FOR 1 STATED MY OPINION ABOUT GYMS MOVING DOWN AND THE THREAD WAS DELETED SOOOOOOOOOO COME ON STOP THIS
AP has a Junior 4 team and I don't think they have any level 5 kids on it. And POWER's 4 has no one who is on the leve 5 teams. So I am confused by the above comment, too...

I think when a team has a higher percentage of more than 1/2 of the members at a certain level, they should compete in THAT level. If this means move down, then move down, if it means move UP, then move up so it is fair for the the other teams, and the kids depending.
i dont think the topic needs to be deleted, but just stop the negative posts. like i said earlier, keep it positive and no bashing!!!
THATS TRUE I HAVE TO ADMIT I HAVE SAID NEGATIVE THINGS ON THREADS AND ITS NOT PRODUCTIVE AND IT WASNT UNTIL MY GYM WAS BEING RIDICULED FOR THEIR DIVISION THAT I UNDERSTOOD
OK no!! If you watched the level 5 small senior you would have seen that power had 0 standing fulls and cheerforce had 8 solid. Power had recycled fulls and doubles... Cheerforce had 12 doubles...none recycled plus pretty much all squad fulls. Power had a pyramid? Did I miss something? Oh yeah IT DID NOT GO UP!! Cheerforce did have problems with there's but it went up. I think that power knows they shouldn't of won that division but considering the comp was in Northern Cali, what do you expect...no brainer there. As for the grand champs..Power won?? Look at the final scores for ALL teams competing there and you will see that cheerforce's jr. co-ed had the highest score of the entire day and still did not receive proper recognition. Again northern cal. I guess we all know how cheer can be sometimes. You win some and you lose some. As long as you know you did your best.. that's all that matters. Great job to all who competed.

i think having being so early on in the season everybody runs into errors into their routines. I am sure that cheerforce put what they thought was 100% onto the floor as did power. I think it is unfair that you would come on here and write such comments about the competition just because it was in nor cal. Do you think it would be fair if power came to so cal and lost to go back home bitter and say they only lost because the comp was held in so cal? thats completely silly. i also think while it does matter how much skill teams have what makes a team look good is the way they are executed. So while cheerforce may have had 8 solid standing fulls, power may have picked up points else where in their routine.
Congratulations to ALL teams who competed this weekend. although you may not have all walked away with first, you are all winners for getting onto the floor and performing your hearts out.
Clean or not, 8 solid standing fulls should of gotten a much higher score than teams with NO standing fulls, in standing tumbling. I thought CF was going to win too. Power was a bit cleaner, but also didn't do as much skill as CF.

Just b/c power didn't have standing fulls didn't mean they didn't pick up points elsewhere to compensate... their tumbling was crazy. I didn't reall see that with CF, they had the standing fulls, but the pass tumbling lacked. I like powers dance a lot, CF was good too. Both routines were great for different reasons. It was very close, either way. good job to everyone.
I did not see either performance by Cheerfore or Power so I can not comment on the placings. . . . . . However, more times than not people seem to think that TUMBLING alone is all that matters. Tumbling is only a portion of the total score....... You can max out your points on tumbling but score low in all other areas. You cannot judge a team ONLY on how many standing fulls they threw or how many doubles they had. It is early in the season and Im sure all teams will be working to MAX out there scores in ALL areas. Good Luck to all this Season.

Well said!
The way I see it is both teams have tons of talent and should be so proud of themselves for having such awesome skills. Thanks for the show ladies
