Wow what a great competion Iam a cheergyms mark and you guys did awesome.
solid showings from all teams Athletic perfections really suprised me there mini  team took first out of a bunch of teams they always do great with the younger girls  but there  juionor 4 looked really solid with a  bunch of fresh talent they were right behind pyrimids in second they were all great but there was a little brown haired girl throwing sick layouts and other complicated tumbling and flying high, anyways loved the solidarity between AP,cal spirit elite, and cheer gyms it was great all supporting each other, also Cal spirit elite took first in one of there seinor divisions great job girls.

I left Jamsfest thinking what the HECK?

Are you kidding me, I mean, what??

Power: wasn't impressed- dull music(poorly recycled), horrid pyramid(though I'm sure it usually hits?), dance-it's always gonna be boring, I never expect much--eric little's not that talented(if he's still "around"). Whatever-- still love Power--- n their open team was pretty impressive, still had issues though.

Norcal: Okay, loved their 6 open team, but you know what team had me thinking fake level 5?

Cheer Force: They were good, but ya know, something's always off about their choreo and their music's always EGH--- ex: "smack that" by akon during their toss section?? Whaaaaaaaaat? seriously?

Motions Coed 4: Okay, honestly, I've never seen a stronger coed 4... but I didn't get any wow factor other than the tumbling section-- which was amazing.

Pyramids: Probably has the cleanest performers?

Premier: They're good-- I just didn't like seeing roll off after roll off over n over over again.

Royals: alright.

Swat 5: Honestly? Like really?? I don't know-- when you see a full squad throw ro bhs as a corner pass on a level 5 team-- does that look good?? Oh ....

Sac allstars 5: Um, I didn't get it at all...

Actually, this is a good post...for those of us who weren't there, it's good to hear what people think. Take it as constructive critisism...it was the first comp of the season...all of the mistakes will be fixed...but I'm tired of hearing oh so and so did great, when they really didnt! I know that sounds negative, but it's a competition and we can't fix our mistakes if we don't know about them!biggrin

*warning*  The following is my opinion.  Take it for what it's worth.

My Favorite Teams:

- Pyramids Youth 2:  They're my favorite, by far.

- Pyramids Sm Sr 4:  Old school Pyramids...executing all the skills with great choreography.  People talk about potential of other squads that don't even hit...imagine the potential of a squad that does.

- AP Junior 4:  My favorite is the pyramid where one girl tosses the flyer in that little flyover part.

- Nor Cal Elite's kick doubles:  It's no secret I'm not a Nor Cal Elite fan, but you have to admit, nobody kick doubles better than them.  Nobody.

to Ap Lover Hannah - you're right a ton of stunts fell yesterday. it's not suprising that stunts fell on the level 5 teams because they were doing some really advanced stunting and pyramids. i believe some of the ap stunts came down in the level 2 division as well.

I agree, Pyramids 4 was great to watch although, isn't most of the team made up of level 5 girls? confused

Nor Cal's kick double are off the hook. biggrin

I loved Pyramids Youth 2 as well!! So so cute.

I totally agree with that list. Everthing u said is what i was thinking.  I personally feel there wasn't one team out there that had a clean routine.  CSE lvl 3 (i think) they looked a mess and whats up with that dance. I thought they were about to play ring around the rosie. Sorry did'nt like it. Cute uniforms though i think one of my favorite.

The tumbling on the cheergyms level 4 teams looked really funny to me, especially Motions coed 4 . You could tell that they were better tumblers than that. I hope being on the All American team is worth it to those kids this year.

Now that we have seen a competition should we re-visit the topic of level 4 teams that have level 5 kids on them. How fair is this to the other teams that are true level 4?

The POWER routines were not the usual flawless performanes that we are used to seeing. However, props to them for going out there and going for it! We could all tell that when those tricks all hit - WOW watch out! Let's not forget they are attempting all this without a guy on the team. You girls rock!!!

funny!!!! when i seen SWAT i had to look in my program to see what lvl they were i just knew it was lvl 4. I thought the announcer got it wrong. I liked the male flyer he was just as flexible as the girls. I've never seen a male flyer to stretches.

I can't agree more. This message board is a pool of NEGATIVE comments. Ok, so some teams dropped, dances weren't your style, or teams busted in tumbling, it is the opening of the season and not nationals. Teams are going to go back to their gym and work on their mistakes and look better for the next comp. You get criticized if your clean/safe and talked about if your trying hard stuff and fall. It's hard to have both in November.
