RE: POWER comp results

I think it was the young Gentelman from Motions in the tumble off, your actions with the special needs young lady was by far the best and most encouraging act of sportsmanship i have seen in many years!

His name is Robert Herrera.  He has a very big heart and we are proud of who he has become.

Now..if only he were the same person in school as he is in the gym..

But nonetheless, the Robert I see at the gym is a great person and he has done wonderful things for the Motions program.  Seeing how he reacted at the end of the tumble off yesterday with chelsea from the special needs team was a touching moment and very genuine.

Lynn,

When you say, we only practice three days a week for two hours. You practice MORE than most allstars.

Sensitive...they said ALL the teams made mistakes, not just Motions. I did not get to see Motions juniors but their senior coed was good. It was obvious during the tumble-off that they have some very highly skilled high level kids on that team.

I also enjoyed Legends routine. I hope they can get it cleaned up, its early so I'm sure they will.

All the cheergyms teams were nice and clean. I'm still not a big fan of the style but it works for them and the judges yesterday obviously loved it.

Divas stunted like no other. They need to step up the tumbling difficulty big time but their opening stunt sequence took my breath away. Again as has been said, little mistakes that they need to get fixed, but when they do I would venture to guess that there will be no teams in the area that can out-stunt them.

The tiny, mini, and youth teams have really stepped it up! Lots of great routines at all levels!

So now everyone has their first comp nerves out of the way, should be a great season!

ok we know divas can stunt and we have seen what mike can do with the legands tumbling (the have 4 or 5 level 5 tumblers on a level 3 team) and they share the same gym then why dont they just make one team. they would be one of the top teams in norcal or allcal.. lol.. i just came up with a new one.. All Cal.. lol i crack my self up. anyways they should just combine thats what i think

I seen lvl 4 or 5 tumberlers yesterday at JAMZ on the lower lvls. It's crazy 2 me but i guess you'll do anything to win.

we do have level 5 tumblers on our team but we also have girls that cant do a backhandspring..

so hmm what do we do?

we chose a level that we know we will do well in..
we can push the girls that dont have the tumbling yet to our level..

if we only have 3 girls with level 5 tumbling we arent going to go to a higher level.. and we cant make a team just for them..

you put your teams in divisions they wil do well in and the majority of the squad has the skill required

you guys did great looking forward to seeing you at future comps and maye our team will compete against yours soon if we move to level 3 where we belong

not being rude either, but it depends on their stunting.  if someone else has bomb tumbling and stunts that are harder and stick, then yes, other teams will have a chance against them and will beat them.

Have to agree here.  Their tumbling was off the hook and will be hard to beat, but their stunts were in my opinion not difficult and not clean.  Of course that could quickly change!  But my point is that tumbling alone shouldn't be enough to win.

I hope we get to see youtubes of the tumble off!! :) so who won?? did they split it up in jr tumblers and sr tumblers. Those are always so fun to watch and usually only smaller comps get to have them...

One of our Jr.Trojan girls tied in the 12 and under tumble off.  I don't know who the other girl was.  In the 18 and under it was the guy from motions and the special needs girl who won.  One of the legends girls was also in the top 3 but the other two won.

THe junior tumbling was LIbby W. from Pyramids and OJT lady whose name I can not think of at the moment.  Seniors was Robert H. from Motions and Chelsea W. from Pyramids.  The final vote was based on cheers from the crowd.
