Thank you for the results. Now can anybody give us the reviews ? I want to hear about the teams that made you ooooh and awe out loud. I wish I could have been there
I thought legends was amazing... awesome tumbling and they made the stunts look effortless. Especially if this was their first comp. Beautiful performance. I was sad to see only one team...I wanted more!!!
Oakridge Jr. Trojans (a youth football team from El Dorado Hills) looked really good and really held their own with all stars team but I felt they were given alittle more credit than they deserved in a few areas. They seem to be a POWER favorite! Their Midget team however is amazing!!!
Motions Senior COED 4 was also so fun to watch..amazing syuts and a great pyramid.
UCF..very cute routines, very nice girls...stunts where very shaky. They may be placed a level too high in some areas. Loved their new uniforms.

perfectly said about each team. Oakridge did great but way more credit given motions coed was good as usual fun to watch and the energy is amazing ucf def. had their teams in the wrong divisions no doubt but the girls are very nice and talented. they need to move down and then they will be a force to be reckoned with pyramids as always gave a good show but their junior 4 team stole it for me amazing talent and a true junior team of course we love their special needs team. what a blessing and fun thing to watch puts out so much positive energy you find yourself reflecting and trying to control the tears. GREAT JOB JODI AND PYRAMIDS i dont remember much about divas this comp but thats not to say they didnt do well legends was fun and solid im thinking they will be pretty good this season
we could've passed on the tumble off -my opinion only oh they played great music in between stuff you could sang too and you didnt hear thousands of times in the routines
overall very fun comp and a great way to start the new season with nice teams and gym owners everyone was pleasant minus a few "cheer parents"
Both senior coed 4 teams had some big mistakes. I'm not sure how the poster above could even tell what the pyramid looked like because it didn't go up. I would say both Motions teams looked like typical Motions teams...really good tumbling, okay stunting, and really really clean. But I can't remember a single clean routine (no mistakes) from all day yesterday. Every team had something that went wrong.

of course stunts were shaky and didnt go up for almost all the teams it was most teams if not all teams first time performing unfortunately it sounds like you might be upset about motions only and thats ok your opionion im not happy at all where my gym placed but what is "typical" all the teams did a great job for first performances and nothing was too typical each gym had its own flair its hard to bring something new and different each season you do your best and unfortunately for many small gyms when you compete at orginizations like this and all their coaches are judging they are looking for a certain style so you kinda expect the results to favor one style judges should come from all over from different places it brings the different results - my opionion only and gym owners need to be smart about not competing at these events because they know how it will go but if you were just there to get the kinks out let the parents and the children know AHEAD OF TIME and it will save a whole bunch of drama
Sensitive...they said ALL the teams made mistakes, not just Motions. I did not get to see Motions juniors but their senior coed was good. It was obvious during the tumble-off that they have some very highly skilled high level kids on that team.
I also enjoyed Legends routine. I hope they can get it cleaned up, its early so I'm sure they will.
All the cheergyms teams were nice and clean. I'm still not a big fan of the style but it works for them and the judges yesterday obviously loved it.
Divas stunted like no other. They need to step up the tumbling difficulty big time but their opening stunt sequence took my breath away. Again as has been said, little mistakes that they need to get fixed, but when they do I would venture to guess that there will be no teams in the area that can out-stunt them.
The tiny, mini, and youth teams have really stepped it up! Lots of great routines at all levels!
So now everyone has their first comp nerves out of the way, should be a great season!
Oh my and the crying starts about the judging already............ Next week the Jamfest Judges are going to suck too. The bottom line is that the cheergyms teams looked great the comp and pretty much deserved all of those wins. Judging or not.

"Pretty much" being your key words, because they didn't deserve all their wins, IMO.
