It's easy to stay in the safe zone.

The UCF girls were asked what level they wanted to compete at.  This was a team(s) decision.  The girls wanted the challenge this season and the coaches are going to support their decision.  In addition, the parents of UCF agree as well.

We are not here to WIN every competition we are here to be competitive and challenge the girls and move them forward.

I support what make my daughter happy.  She thrives on challenge, she gets bore being sedentary.

We will see everyone soon!

Good Luck with your next competition everyone!

Are you guys going to any big competitions? I know you want to challenge them but you can challenge them at level 3..or even 2 maybe suited better.

this statemnt is not true!!!!!

Wow...this is getting ridiculous.  Thank you so much for telling UCF how to play the game.  It has been noted that certain people would like UCF to move down. At first is was mentioned nicely, then a bit more aggressively. This can only mean that a certain gym is putting UCF down yet again. Can't we move on and get over this crap. I mean really...for the Seniors to move to level 2 with more than 1/2 the team doing standing tucks and layouts?? Thanks for that suggestion, but for the time being UCF will stay put. Don't be too quick to judge after 1, ONE, competition.

Good job UCF for not making the routine easier and playing it safe. I commend you on a job well done...way to go Seniors!

I can tell you this, UCF coaches love to coach their cheerleaders and do NOT have egos when it comes to their teams. UCF has full attendance almost EVERY night, therefore, they have to be doing something right. Every girl feels apart of a family and team and knows they are cared for. Not bad for such a small gym.

So...quit pickin on the small gyms!!!

attendance statement not true!!!!!

Ouch!  That would hurt any team with these types of insults.

This is too bad that one gym is being "picked on" for no reason.   I guess UCF is the gym of the week, last week it was the Divas and Legends.  You all sure can share the love on this board.

Why is the question of big competition even coming up?  I remember this team at a San Mateo competition taking the grand championship at level 3 last season.  Yes, they beat every gym in the bay area for this title.

To say they need to slide back to level 2 is just plain mean.  Why would you say something like this?

It was obvious that was a cruel comment and had nothing to do with any kind of constructive criticism.   Let's move on and leave gym names out before this is closed.   There's no reason to name specific gyms in negative posts... I hope most of you know how to weed these out.

Just a sidenote, we've been in the cheer biz for years and have yet to be at a competition where EVERY gym in the bay area attended.

It sure would be nice if that were to happen though!   Wishful thinking, I know.

why do you continually try to take something good away from this team.  you are more than welcome to look at the results from this competiton and correct the statement.  please tell this board what bay area team didn't attend this competition.   if you can't then i think it's time that you stop bringing this team down.

ok enoughs enough! listen just do what is right and fair to the girls
and as far as those who are talkn crap about you dont give them crap to talk about if everyone in the cheer world except you can see you have those girls in the wrong division sit back reflect and think maybe u do and put your pride aside and do whats right its not even about ego trippn its about given your team a fair chance
people r gonna talk crap no matter what but really you are in the wrong division you really are its not up to your girls to make the decision its up to u coaches that is what they pay u for u cant give them that control n then expect them 2 listen 2 anything else u say

its not about winning we all kno that but it is about being competitive PERIOD! and that is ur job as a gym owner and u hav to do that those girls were not competitive last weekend for that division

people on here have diffrnt motives those stop think r th 1s telln u 2 stay put the same 1s who wantto beat u everytm  or they cud be afraid to have u in their division at a lowr level hmmmmm think about that

i agree stop picking on the really small gyms like this one but the small gyms like this 1 have to realize the parents are payin them for a service and they r paying just about the same amount 2 participat in their programs as the larger gyms so they need to be competitive

rootn for you small gyms now be sensible
