I totally agree. Last year meant nothing. This year is what it is all about. Cheerforce and Power were good last year, they might stink this year, so lets not give them more credit then they deserve ( im sure they will do fine though) It is a new year and new teams are taking over. We witnessed that last week at the Power comp and especially JAMZ. New programs are taking over
Thats what makes each new year exciting. You don't know what it might bring. Good luck to all the teams. I'm excited for this weekend also. Seems like everyone is going to this competition. It's going to be fun seeing all the different teams.
It seems like all of these predicitions on who's gonna win the higher level divisions tomorrow puts a lot of uneeded stressfull pressure on the athletes that they do not need for their first competition. Best of Luck to all competitiors. I sincerley hope every athlete has a stress free, really fun day in which they can relax and enjoy doing the sport they love.
Where is UCF going. I dont see them at any of the big competitions. I know they did not do to well at power but I see them having alot of potential. Hang in there.

my opinion UCF needs to move down a division for a couple of squads and then they will do better. edited im rootn for them tho lots of potential
Moving down a level would be smart. They were way out classed! It's sad for the kids when coaches have ego trips.
Yes it is and the kids are the ones who suffer. there was nothing wrong with trying level 4 for the first comp, but now they need to be realistic and give the girls on the squyad a fair chance to be competitive
i cant see thier coaches ego triping at least i hope not their gym is too small to ego trip if they want to keep their numbers
too bad for the kids on ucf team 4 tons of talent and potential itjust needs to be used correctly and at the right level
Major props to them for trying level 4, and I would not let one competition, especially the first one, prevent them from trying again. I hope they don't give up so easily.
The UCF girls were asked what level they wanted to compete at. This was a team(s) decision. The girls wanted the challenge this season and the coaches are going to support their decision. In addition, the parents of UCF agree as well.
We are not here to WIN every competition we are here to be competitive and challenge the girls and move them forward.
I support what make my daughter happy. She thrives on challenge, she gets bore being sedentary.

We will see everyone soon!
Good Luck with your next competition everyone!
Are you guys going to any big competitions? I know you want to challenge them but you can challenge them at level 3..or even 2 maybe suited better.
So the girls and boys decide what division and not the coaches. No wonder they were in the wrong division. I think my daughter and her friends would love to go level 5 but they are not ready.

Well I think it's great that they want to challenge themselves. What is the better life lesson to teach, that it's better to take the safe and easy route with the almost guaranteed wins, or it's better to shoot higher and try to achieve your goals? I guarantee you your fans will cheer you on ten times louder for pushing yourselves. We on this board seem to be split on this issue, which is why discussions like this are always stimulating.
Wow...this is getting ridiculous. Thank you so much for telling UCF how to play the game. It has been noted that certain people would like UCF to move down. At first is was mentioned nicely, then a bit more aggressively. This can only mean that a certain gym is putting UCF down yet again. Can't we move on and get over this crap. I mean really...for the Seniors to move to level 2 with more than 1/2 the team doing standing tucks and layouts?? Thanks for that suggestion, but for the time being UCF will stay put. Don't be too quick to judge after 1, ONE, competition.
Good job UCF for not making the routine easier and playing it safe. I commend you on a job well done...way to go Seniors!
I can tell you this, UCF coaches love to coach their cheerleaders and do NOT have egos when it comes to their teams. UCF has full attendance almost EVERY night, therefore, they have to be doing something right. Every girl feels apart of a family and team and knows they are cared for. Not bad for such a small gym.
No need to mention any specific gyms when we're talking about general topics. This topic shouldn't refer to any one specific gym because it covers SO MANY. Maybe we can move on and talk about Jamfest again. I'll be there cheering everyone on!
It's late got to get to bed cause I have to wake up early for the competition tomorrow. Just wanted to say Good Luck everyone. I'm so excited for tomorrow.
