No, ...I like it better this way. We can all express how we feel no matter who we are. If the board gets bad, then the powers to be will take care of it! There are only a few rotten eggs in this group!
I LOVE IT HOW IT IS. IT KEEPS ALL POSTS REAL AND RAW. AND FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE ANONYMOUS THEY CAN CHOOSE TO LOG IN. tO ME EVERYONE WINS. I THINK THE REAL REASON WHY SOMEONE WOULD HATE IT IS BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY NOSEY AND WANT TO GET TO MUCH INFO ON THE REPLYS THEY DO NOT LIKE.
Well, more people post when they can do it anonymously and they also say what they really think. I don't get it though; if someone registers and doesn't say who they are, what gym they're from, etc. then isn't that the same as posting anonymously?
They tried not allowing anonymous posts and it was a ghost town here. I like this much better, we've already had some great discussions, and when they get out of hand the moderators will step in.

Here is the thing I am for keeping this board Anonymous. I know many people that have great opinions and some times things I post are a compilation of my thoughts and the thoughts from some people at other gyms that are not allowed to post. I was not allowed to post at my previous gym and posting at my current gym is frowned upon, but not banned, so I do hide behind an alias but I do continue to post and make every effort to make sure what I post is not hurtful. I think that many people would create accounts if they did not feel threatened by their current gym of being discovered. Many of the gym owners in the Nor Cal are friends outside of competition they hang out together or communicate and, are myspace friends ect. Here is a question that was posed to me from some emails and phone calls from friends from other gyms and my previous gym that I would actually like to know the answer also.
If someone posts something without using their gyms name and a gym owner suspects it is someone from their gym posting, can the gym owner call Danny and find out what city the person is posting from and get the IP address of the person and match it to their records? Some gyms have been told that their owner can call Danny and get that info. If that is the case then I think it would deter many people from posting on this board. As a moderator can you see who is posting? I will answer this one. As a Moderator the only thing I have access to is to Ban IP | Delete Post | Report Spam | Edit Post | Quote | Reply and to move threads around. So I know just as much as the rest of you. I dont know if you are in San Jose or Jamaica.
Some of you might think I am crazy for posting these questions, but I am sure I am not the only one who gets these kinds of questions.I think once we know the answers to these questions more people will be more likely to post under aliases without fear.
I agree with Megan in that many wouldn't post what they say if they had to put their name behind it.
But I also agree with ACEdad in that you should take what they say with a grain of salt.
Unfortunately, some of the things said on this board are hurtful, and some people may read into a post differently than was the intention of the post. The bottom line is, how the post affects you is up to just one person...you.

I like to have the anonymous posts because it brings out the honesty in people. However it also brings out the bad in those that just want to start problems. All in all I know when I hear someone speaking bad about a gym or someone they are likely just being jealous. I think if we know how to read between the lines and take some of the context with a grain of salt then lets keep it. It is a great way to get honest feedback in most cases.
Well, i know some people won't believe me but I honestly have no way of attaining any more information than anyone provides. I guess a more experienced (and motivated) computer hacker may be able figure something out but I have no clue.
