I enjoyed today.  it was nice seeing all the teams perform.  Enjoyed CO Coed Level 5 team, awesome tumbling.  Didn't agree with some of the results, but had fun.  Loved seeing Starstuck I always enjoyed seeing them perform. I enjoyed watching SWAT and Royals  Really liked the teams from California Spirit.

Looks like Cheer Odyssey rocked the place, winning every category.  Congrats to them!

Agreed, the competition was very fun. Didn't agree with some of the results either. Jamz is hard to understand how they score, definetly not on technical skill.

how so?

do you think teams did not deserve the placing that was given.

That would be a really interesting topic i feel.

I don't want to make the boards negative, but it just seems that the competition catered to specific organizations and not all those teams were as strong as others. Jamz also seems to cater towards a specific style. Just an opinion. I will stop there as I think all the teams today did well, just some results didn't agree with or even understand.

so since this board is anonymous...

who exactly are you talking about?

well, its obvious to see how Jamz scores because each team coach is given a full print out of every score separated by category both cummutively and individually from 3 judges.

if a score seems incorrect wouldn't you think this process makes contesting much easier?

I personally thought the new scoring packets were really efficient and informative. The competition ran very smoothly with very little pauses and stayed on schedule.

i definitely can not complain.

btw, LOOOOOVED starstruck and CSE

Oh, that happened at Power, too. =(  Definitely some results that were confusing and hard to understand.

I agree the competition did run really smooth.  Alot of the Jamz comps we have been to ran so long.  Today they were right on schedule.  Enjoyed all the teams.  I also enjoy Starstuck.  They are such a nice organization and I thought they did great today.  Was also impressed with the CSE loved thier routines.  Congrats to Cheer Odyessy and CSE for the winning the program awards.  Way to go.  I thought everyone did a great job.

How do you win the program awards?   Total points in all categories?

It's the combined overall scores for each gym.  The highest scoring gyms win.

They also give out a choreography and extreme stunting award (think thats what it is called.)

I agree some of the results I just did not understand and I did not agree with.  There were quite a few people sitting near us that thought the samething.  It's one of those time you wonder what the heck, huh did I miss something?????

This is a good example of different opinions.. My hubby thought he'd try paying attention to all teams the whole comp and try to predict the winners.  His predictions were 100% (I'm sorry to say, I had to here him brag on the way home!)

I also wanted to say that there were a lot of teams that looked GREAT especially for the first comp of the season.. there was some actual "good competition" at the JAMZ comp.  Congratulations to everyone who performed! You all should be proud of a job well done! smile

I didn't get to see to all the routines but as the results were being read it was obvious who was going to win each lvl

Quit complaining about who is going to win. First off, you better be darn good if you want to win. Second off, know where you are taking your comps to. do not take them to a company where the majority of the staff works for that company. Be smart people.

Is it true that alot of the staff at Cheer Odsessy work for Jamz or is just a rumor being spread on this board?
