My problem isn't guessing, because that is fun, but how can you predict about this competition in particular because there are so many teams who are new or only in their 2nd/3rd year.

My goodness... I knew cheer moms were crazy, but so anal! You guys are way overanalyzing everything. I think the intention of this and the Power post were to just have some FUN and throw some guesses out there. Let's not overanalyze. Blast me if you must.

I think anytime anyone makes an observation that doesn't agree with the many, it is being "anal". It is called a comment, observation, or just something on our mind.

Well it's one thing to predict who will win the category, but when you list the exact order strictly based on what you saw last year, I just don't get why you would even bother.

In the sports world, since we're all comparing this to it, you have drafts and it's well known who has what new players. I don't remember seeing the cheerleading drafts on ESPN, did I miss something? hehe

If only!!!! I also think it would be great if we were say in Vegas and my husband could spend the day in the Sports Book and bet the odds on who would win Nationals or better yet Worlds. Maybe then I could get him to stay for a full 12hr comp. LOL idea

They're just guesses, everyone. She could be totally, completely, utterly WRONG. Or not. Either way, it shouldn't deeply hurt anyone's feelings; they're just her opinions, whether you agree or not. But don't come down on people just for saying what they think.

People are allowed to do that, and she certainly didn't do it in a malicious way.

I agree guessing is fun, but whoever listed this post obiviously just has animosity towards ROyals becz they are in last on every post...and they listed ROyals last in HIP HOP!!! they are amazing and STARSTRUCK 2nd to last??! they are AMazing as well someone is bitter....

I think what is upseting everyone is that when you posted your picks to win you also posted them in order of who would be first and so on. In doing that your also stating a certain team will come in last. I think that is what bothers some people. Hey you have every right to your opinion and I personnaly don't have a problem with it. Hey my daughters team is competing this weekend also and her team is listed. Well needless to say you didn't pick them to win :( , but whatever in your opinion another team will do better and thats fine it's your opinion. Maybe next time just list who you think might win only. No one wants to hear thier childs team is picked to come in last. I really don't have a problem with someone making predictions. I enjoy hearing what everyone else thinks. I do think it's a little early in the season to be making these kind of predictions, so I can only assume your going by last years performances. Ok I'm rambling... I just want to wish everyone good luck this weekend. As for my daughters team I know how hard they have been working, and I'll be there cheering them on win or loose. I love reading this message board. I've learned alot from the different posters especially Cheer Watcher. I have to admit I'm a little taken aback by the tone of some of the messages this past week. Hopefully that will change once the competitions get started and there is more to post about. I think I'm going to go re-read the post about bows again. That one made me smile.

why is it not o.k. to predict in this subject but it was quite o.k. to predict for the power competition? do you all have a double standard on this board? it's o.k. to predict as long as your gym doesn't attend the event? hmmmmmmmm.

I think you need to read all the posts for the Power comp. It was not okay for some of us. I reposted my opinion (and I know, that is all it is) in the other thread as well. I don't have a problem with picking winners, but picking last place is not a fun thing to do.
