90% of the business deal between CG.com, AP, and CSE has nothing to do with the AA program. Currently on the AA teams there are 2 girls from AP and zero from CSE.
The arrangment so far has gone much better than hoped for.
i am totally confused now. the latest post contradicts other recent posts about the merger only happening to form a level 5 team. It sounded like they were saying that the only coaching influence going on was on the AA team. now it sounds like the AA team was not the focus of the merger.???
I am sorry but please remember when people were asking "why does Motions only have Senior CoED 4 and Junior 3 and Pyramids only have Level 3 and 4 teams???" Wasn't the answer that they were fielding level 5 athletes from AP and CSE along with Cheergyms kids? Because Cheergyms alone didn't have enough level 5 athletes alone!!! If you are saying that The AA program ONLY has 2 AP kids (and NO cse kids) youre telling me that all of the other kids are Cheergyms kids. Therefore, 2 AP kids make up that level 5 status. It just dosen't make sense to me. And with 2 kids from AP, that helps make 3 AA teams?? Does anyone understand what I am saying? This is just kind of odd and contradicting. I don't mean to come down hard on CG, still like them!
I can see how it would seem contradictive. You see Pyramids has enough Lev 5 athletes to form say a small Sr. 5 but it would mean teaming up ages ranging from 11 to 18. For their year around "gym team" Pyramids has always done its best to properly separate the age groups.
Motions only has maybe 6 or 7 Lev 5 athletes total. So by combining the 20 or so from Pyramids, the 7 or so from Motions, and the 2 from AP cheergyms.com is able to form 1 small coed of 36 for the All American program. We also have a small Jr 5 that involves some of the younger talent not seasoned enough for coed and one girl to young to compete on a Sr. team.

Abbybythebay and Cheer411 spoke about this subject probably a month or so ago. You are saying the same thing we were saying back then. We will just have to sit back and see how this all plays out.
Watch out for those Pyramid and Motions teams level 4 teams, they should be amazing!
Quick question-- how many athletes on Pyramids "level 4" team are on an All American Team? Those of us in the level 4 category will most likely have to face Pyramids sometime soon and it would be good to know if we're really going against a level 5 team. The other gyms who are fielding level 5 teams, my guess is that 100% of your team are not truly level 5 (I would guess that was the case for Pyramids last year, and the year before, etc...) because you're striving to be the best you can be, to push and challenge your members. It would be nice to hear from others who are fielding level 5 teams this year.
The magazine is called American Cheerleader. Look it up on the web.
If you go to the news section it say that you can download this issue, but I couldn't get it to work. Sits there for awhile then the little PDF icon comes up. Anyone else able to get this to work. Danny do you have a copy of the article you could post for us. I'd really like to read it. Thanks.

15 of 18 from Pyramids Lev 4 are on the Coed AA team.
I'm just excited for the season to start!! I'm ready to be at competitions, watching our girls, and seeing everyone else's routines as well. Good luck to everyone -- no falls and no drops and no injuries!!
Are you saying Pyramids Level 4 has 18 members, and 15 are on the Level 5 All American Team. Wow. I just have to ask this, why not just have your Pyramids Level 4 compete at 5, what is the point of having them compete at 4? That's the only part I don't understand.
