Correct me if I'm wrong...but weren't All Star competitions originally always at high school gyms? It has only been in the past several years that more companies have come onto the scene and charging more money that competitions moved to more event locations. Only Nationals used to be at the larger venues. Our first year in All Star cheer I think they were all at high schools.

Glad that isn't the norm anymore. My bumside can't take it anymore.

So high school is running about $10,000 a year now too. Wow!! That is crazy

$10,000 was my bill last year including everything travel, room and board and uniforms.

That sucks ! School cheer used to be the refuge for parents who could not afford high school cheer.

Does she mean the year of high school cheer costs the same as allstars? Or they pay the same amount for competitions?

It all comes down to putting a program together that is cost effective for teams. You cant attend all comps that cost 150 each. It eats away at your budget. i think maybe it should go back to its roots a bit.
