need some advice

okay --- back in July we decided with the head coach/ gym owner to try individuals this year.

The coach sent me to another coach for choreography.  After 3 cancels by this coach we finally got together and the routine was choreographed by mid August.  The very last day of our private we were told that the coach was leaving and the head coach would take over.
We come back in Sept and run the routine by the head coach, who promptly said it was trash and had to be re-done.  (mind you $$$$ fees for  chorgphy and privates had been paid.  Coach said he would re-do it for free(his fault for not working more closely with the other coach) and that for the next umpteen saturdays we are to meet at noon.

So far we have had 1 good solid private in the last 3 weeks. (interuptions, impromptu auditions, late starts) but only 1/2 the routine is done.

Today an email went out from the coach advertising he is doing privates in the afternoon this coming saturday -- first come first serve (notify).  By the time I got the email our normal time was taken by someone else.  I asked why  (based on prior conversations and was told that person x (grabed it first).  Again I stated that I thought we had a standing appt, (and then added)  I will take 1st available and was told sorry booked none available),

Am I wrong to feel that this was not fair.  I feel like we have been tossed to the curb -- I work full time and getting her to a private right after school is impossible.
Should I chock it up to "live and learn" and try to book the next 4 or five saturdays now?

Should I offer to pay again for his time (even though he said he would re-chorepraph for free)?

I am just about ready to chuck the whole thing (indivudual competition)and try again next year -- but not sure how my kid would feel.

help.....

I would chuck it in a heartbeat.  It's just not worth the effort and heartache.

Unless you are actually going to be able to compete for scholarship money, I think individuals are mostly a waste.

(Please note I don't include stunt groups or partner stunting in this same opinion)
