tell me why i also went thru that last season. my mom just go SO AGGRAVATED with my old coaching staff. i was sad to go cuz i knew i would miss my sisters (teamates ), but more than half my team ended up coming with me to another gym because their parents were just as pissed off! i LOVE my new gym! we have so much fun and my team (and ALL of the other teams) are so tallented. good move.

IF YOU ARE AT A BAD GYM, MOVE!!! IT IS NOT WORTH THE STRUGGLE. LIFE IS EASY WHEN YOURE NOT PISSED OFF!!!

Gyms should save the parents money and hire coaches creativly talented then they won't have to pay so much money for outside coaches.

First of all everything at your gym seems like a problem (in your opinion). I think you need to try youth or high school cheerleading where so much isn't entailed. 2nd, the majority of all star programs use private or public cheer camps, choreographers, friends in the industry, or consultants for their program. At any dance studio or gymnastic gym, you bring in outside choreographers for special performances, the same with beauty contests and other professional activities/sports. When you went to the informational meeting, did the financial portion skip over your head. Almost every gym I know in this area has one and they explain very clearly how much it costs. It's your choice to participate. It's negative attitudes like yours which keep programs from growing.

First of all I said I am not at that Gym anymore (by the way this gym lost over half their gym at tryout time) because everyone does have a choice and EVERYTHING in that gym was a problem, IF IT SOUNDS RIDICULOUS TO YOU NOW YOU KNOW HOW WE FELT (this program I am talking about at tryout time lost half of tier program and another 20 or 30 when teams were picked and practices started and come next year their gym will probably be closed) This gym had kids leave to go do High School Cheer!!!!!!! High School Cheer? (Wow)

YOU COACHES NEED TO GET A CLUE, ALL STAR CHEER IS AN EXTRA CIRRICULAR ACTIVITY THE KIDS HAVE NO MONEY!!!! (The kids could love you all day they don't pay the bill) SO KEEP IT RIGHT AND TIGHT WITH THE PARENTS OR LOSE YOUR PROGRAMS ALL TOGETHER. A BAD REPUTATION CAN SHUT A GYM DOWN!!!!

Thats why we and I am talking about more that 10 bounced our ass to a real ALL STAR PROGRAM. Last year I paid over $10,000 to that gym not including traveling, chasing a bid to world's they did not deserve!!!! AND THIS IS MY THIRD YEAR DOING ALL STAR CHEER, I KNOW ABOUT THE MONEY!!!

The new Gym that WE are with can account for where their money goes DOWN TO THE PENNY, and let's just say they don't even consider my old gym in their competition.

SO ALL YOU COACHES ON HERE DON'T GET OFFENDED IF YOU ARE DOING SOME OF THESE THINGS OUR OLD GYM DID, JUST KNOW YOUR DAY WILL COME AND ONCE IT STARTS IT'S LIKE A TORNADO, REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT LIKE A GROCERREY STORE THERE IS NO CHAIN YOU SCREW UP AND YOUR DOORS CLOSE FOREVER!!!!

Is this gym you left local....meaning the bay area? Also, you do seem very upset with the situation. Be happy that you decided to make a change. Now that it is not part of your everyday life , move forward and enjoy your new season with your new team. I hope that people can look at the positives and not dwell on the negatives. Goodluck.

MY KIDS ARE HAPPY NOW THEREFORE SO IS MY FAMILY. THIS CHANGE GAVE MY KIDS BACK THIER LOVE FOR CHEER!!!

If you are an owner who can coach than please do not take offense to this statement. All Star Cheer is a sport these kids are athletes and unlike the football coaches gone bad you can't be fired, when you don't deliver a winning season. Parents only recourse is to leave the gym. So please understand there are so many gyms out there right now opening without the owners understanding fully what they are undertaking.

This can go both ways. No gym wants to lose athletes but sometimes the people who leave (both parents and kids) will never be happy and it will just be a matter of time before they find fault in the New gym. and any loss can turn into an opportunity. It's a matter of perspective.

No wonder us cheer parents get such a bad name.

I do believe that if you are not happy with your gym, whether it is how they coach, who coaches, how they spend their money or what competitions you attend then you need to move on, that simple.

I am sick of hearing everyone complain about their gym yet do nothing about it, saying that their kids just enjoy it too much to leave, if this is the case then shut your mouth and learn to enjoy it to. Stop complainig to everyone escept the owners is coaches.. here's a thought, make an appointment to sit down with the coaches and owers and try to work through your concerns like adults? (Instead of spreading your negativity around the gym)

I don't know about you guys but my kids don't run my life especially when it comes to an investment like cheer. There are plenty of gyms out there where I am sure, once settled your kids will love it just as much. Just my opinion.

Sadly All Star Cheer gyms are scarce. Sometimes people do not have a lot of choices because All Star Cheer world is still establlishing itself in some areas. So a lot of times because of work, other kids etc parents feel they are stuck at a gym because that is what thier children live to do, but they do not have the means to get thier kids other places. I have a suggestion...

If you are a coach at a gym watching the owner run thier gym and reputation into the ground taking you with them just because of the affiliation. Break away, start your own gym! I know it's easier said then done, but why not try! Get sponsors, get community involvement!! Recruit, Recruit, Recruit, you would be suprised how quickly a gym can grow, from the people who have been waiting to find a place to go to the people who thought they loved thier other gym until you came along.
