Love the videos. The third one did not work for me I got an error message 'INVALID VIDEO ID". Wow in the second video falling out of those stunts looked dangerous. Thanks for posting these.
Those were great...... Ahhhhh the 70's....well the late 70's my days in High school..and we thought we were all that ...looking like them..with knee drops, tucks and splits in the air .... too funny!!
College in the 80's... those stunts were too dangerous looking for me!
WORD! I cant imagine what I would have done if my coach said "you are going to toss to lib and let her fall to the floor and then forward roll when she hits the floor!" Hmmm....kind of crazy!
I do not see anything wrong with doing shoulder stands, then doing a basket toss from the shoulder stands. OMG, that's just nuts. Must say alot of it looks super fun, but a little on the dangerous side.
It makes me sad to look at them though. I am sure those kids at the time thought they were off the hook, as the kids now do. Just think 20 years from now!

I was a middle in the 80's and that's exactly how we'd dismount!! Once, but only once, the flyer didn't drop straight and was right on top of me. Her sweater got caught in my earring and pretty much ripped it out of my ear! Oh yes those were the days!!

What??? I can't hear you???? Oh, your ear! You poor dear! Those videos sure brought back some sweet memories!! I showed my daughter the links and she made the comment that not a whole lot has changed except for the uniforms, which she said were "Pathetic".......LOL! She did think that some of the stunts were awesome and that they should be brought back. I told her that I think maybe some of those stunts and pyramids might be illegal now?
You know, when I read the rules for competition, one rule always stuck out to be sooooo odd
"Any height increasing apparatus used to propel a competitor is prohibited"
I always laughed like, so what ... hold on let be bring my baby trampoline out before my kids perform. HAHAHAHHAA. Imagine how hard I was laughing to see people actually use them! No wonder that was a rule!!! Great videos!!!
