In my opinion, i dont like all of the crazy glitter makeup. The only makeup that i think is important to wear besides your everyday makeup at competition is darker lip stick, and a little bit heavier blush then someone would usually wear. I think the less made up you are, the more atletic you come across. Now, that been sad, when i watch these really good and super talented teams on espn most of the girls that perform have like messy pony tails. all of their hair looks different, like some girls have their bangs down, or wear their ponytails with a part. it looks like they just threw it up. i think it is important to be uniformed, and all have the same slicked back, high pony. (unless your like me, and cant fit your short hair in a pony:] ) but thats just what i think... have any of you noticed this also??

Oh, thank goodness someone else doesn't like that messy hair! I am distracted by the hair falling out of ponies and falling into their faces. If you are supposed to be wearing a pony with hair back off of the face, then keep it in a pony and OFF of your face. I look at these super talented teams and can't understand why they haven't figured out how to use a rubberband, gel, hairspray, and whatever else is used to keep the hair back. But...I guess it doesn't effect their scores as some of the top teams at Worlds seem to have no clue on the hair thing.

I personally like the glitter make up, big hair, and other performance oriented things that go into a all star routine. I am not saying look hideous, but you should stand out. The teams who are just "plain and neat" look good, but not great. They better have great skill cause other wise you won't remember anything else about them. Other teams who push the envelope or put a little extra into their performance/uniforms will always be noticed just because they do. Same thing when you see someone wear bright colors or a really cute outfit, you notice it because it stands out. I think people sometimes do not know how to apply make up. It amazes me how many females do not know how to apply make up correctly, instead of just throwing it on. LOL There were a couple of top teams they showed on Worlds I thought should of spent some time into their apperance before taking the stage, in my opinion.
