Wow, now that's quite a way to explain it. I'm gonna use that one next time. I will see what response I get.... that's sooooooo funny!!!

Oh -- don't get me wrong -- I like the crop tops - It makes the older teams look a lot older and more athlethic -- I just think for the younger teams (old Jr Prep and below) they should stick with more covering.
-- A body tight can be anything from a nude/tan leotard (with clear straps) to almost a full length pantyhose type of thing. --
Yes, I remember that USA Nationals had added some additional deductions to their score sheet which they said they would be enforcing. I remember some of them were, inappropriate attire and movements, bad language or inappropriate language in songs, inappropriate touching or something like that. It said it was a family atmosphere and there would be children of all ages in attendance at all times along with grandparents etc and they don't want to see or hear anything that would be considered inappropriate or offensive to all in attendance and if they did, there would be a deduction for it on the score sheet.
And you HAVE to agree with all of that. I know I do....

I really don't like the crazy make-up. I've never been in the nose bleed section and thought "Wow! I can really see their faces." I've also never noticed a difference when viewing photos, not saying it doesn't actually make a difference...just never noticed it.
With uniforms I'm a more flexible (?). Most of the time I like the more traditional uniforms; however, some do sneak past my hardened old school ways. I really liked Fierce's and West Coast All Star's, if that is indeed their name...maybe it's the velvet I like. :) I do not think crop tops should be on teams younger than senior and not even then if the team has cheerleaders younger than 14 (I'd really like to say 16, but I'm showing more of my flexibility :) ).
I personally like the crop top uniforms and show make up. Now some of the examples posted on the board I wouldn't pick, but you can say the same for girls who wear full tops and no make up. I think people need to realize, just because you aren't wearing something that is outlandish, doesn't mean your better than the team who is. I ilke the OC all stars star A LOT. I also love the Club Cheer Twisters uniform (mid-riff) version. Competition make up should enhance your uniform and overall look, not take away. It's all about the application and how its pulled off. If your team can't do it right, then call for a make up artist. All-star teams should wear something a little special. Yes your judged on your skills, but if your looking at a team who is a little flashy plus clean versus a team who is just clean and no flash, the team with flash will usually win, in my opinion.
The "indian" theme is VERY cute and tasteful. I especially like when teams do themes, but don't go over board with it. I really thought those "minnies" where cute last season.
I think "Big" make up is ok as this is more of a stage performance than HS cheer. However, I like it to look classy, not trashy! Too much glitter on the eyes doesn't enhance anyone's looks.
I have to say I saw those mini's a few times last year and loved the idea! It was just enough to make you watch them (and remember them) and smile but not too much to make it cheesy (if you know what I mean). Way to go University Cheer Force! And good luck this upcoming season!
they order the ears form disney. there the ones you can buy at disney land. What i'm wondering is how the stayed on. especially during stunting and tumbling.
