Ok I clicked on the stars to rate the post then they disapeared.  What happens after???  Where is it posted or am I just not seeing it.  I hate it when I get these senior moments.    Help someone explain.... 

I was just going to post about the stars. Fun, fun!

I saw the whiteboard on someone else's profile and was wondering how they added it. Now I have to edit my profile to see what else I can do.

Okay, I went and rated about five threads. The stars changed to a thank you for rating message. On the main page there's a new column that says rating, but has no ratings for any of the threads. I guess it's something that we will have to wait and see what it does. More patience. ugh!

On the whiteboard you get to write messages directly onto the person's profile. Sorta like PM without the P. Sorta like message boards with the target audience of one.

edited: cheerwatcher, I just left a note on your whiteboard.  Does it tell you that you have something written on your whiteboard, or do you have to check your profile?

Oh...and these whiteboard messages can be seen by all if you go into someones profile. But did you see that you can "erase" a whiteboard message? Hmmm...I'll have to think about this feature a bit more before I start using. Have to be careful what you say since everyone can see it.

Doesn't replace the PM...since that is private.

Currently though you don't have to worry, the rating seems to be something we don't see the end result. Maybe it's just for the moderator...I don't know. ???

I like all the new features also. Just one question at the bottom of the Board Home Page you use to be able to roll your cursor over the names of the users logged on and see if they were posting or just reading in one of the different threads.  Is this feature gone for good.  Also thanks Tamara I didn't know about clicking on the date of the last thread either....Neat.

It's baaaaack...you can scroll over the names again to see where they are.
