USA Finals update

Okay so...

Even though I was EXHAUSTED yesterday from searching for OC MOM in stilletos, and didn't realize we weren't at the same place... I did jump for joy when I heard from people that Motions got the paid at USA Nationals yesterday. I really did. I was thinking... no prelims, we get to relax. It's all going to be GREAT! Congrats MOTIONS!!!! And then hopefully POWER large will win the paid in Veas this weekend for JAMZ, and then Pyramids will get their partial. I'm so excited. I think we're gunna have a party tonight at the gym. LOL. So if POWER does get the paid, and then Pyramids gets their partial, then who will get Pyramids At Large? Because, Nor Cal already has our at large. And then American has an at large from UCA.... so who's next? I'm confused. LOL.

Somebody better get back to me quick status on that one.

The COA Open Nationals competition was pretty cool yesterday. There were a lot of out of state competitiors, like University of Hawaii partner stunt group. They were awesome. Of course there were the locals like West Coast Mavericks, (yes they were at both COA and USA yesterday!!!) Us, Cal Flyers, and Orange Crush. Cheerforce also had their youth 5, so cute, and tuns of individuals. They were great. It was a good day, long, but fun.

Just got home from USA Nationals and I want to congratulate everyone that got bids and all of the Cheergyms teams.  Pyramids Sr. Coed 3 had the performance of the year for that team on Sunday!  Way to end the year on a high note!  Great job Jr. Black on your National Championship title, you girls (and guy) have worked sooo hard and ended your year with unbelievable performances!  Sr. Gold has come so far from the beginning of the year and I know you girls will give it everything you have at Worlds and make us proud!  Great job to Motions on getting a paid bid, I know you will represent the West Coast with class!

On another note, I GOT TO MEET OC MOM!!!!!!  I saw her in passing on Sunday and wished her well on her wedding in Vegas.  Well, time to pack up again for a vacation from my vacation!  Off to Spring Training in AZ for the rest of the week!

We were literally running to get a cheerleader to her team, so I  had to say hi for ONE SECOND. I felt soooo bad!!! It was WONDERFUL to meet you!!!!!

I also met some moms who don't chat on here but read our posts and conversations. I seriously just LOVE meeting people from different gyms.

But I have to tell you all, the funniest thing, besides looking for Megan on a wall was, Tamara was yelling, OC MOM OC MOM OC MOM as our team and coaches walked by. Of course, I was at the end and heard her. The kids must've thought she was a nut case. But it made me laugh!!!!!

Kris......I know you and Tamara. You are way more crazy!

It was good seeing you this weekend. Tell Em I said Hi and we missed her. Our warm-ups were mini Motions reunions!

Ok...I need clarification!! I heard that not all the teams we thought got bids actually did. That is some teams accept the USA bids then the pass downs will revert to the original comps where the bids were received, right? Ok, question, don't you think that a gym should be required to decline their bid BEFORE competing for a new one? Wouldn't that cut back on all this pass down nonsense?

I love you Nikki! Now and forever!!! I wish Michelle could have been there.

Danny, thanks for all the insight on the "cheer stuff". It may sound silly but I felt better after talking to you. You put a few things in perspective in a way that I couldn't have thought of since I'm not a gym owner. Thanks again. It's not a surprise that Cheergyms does so well. Not a surprise at all.

Christina, Cynthia, Liss, Nic and Kia,
My loves and dearest friends in the entire world. I am always amazed how time goes by and yet when we see each other again, it's as if a second has passed. Pray Em trys out for all stars again, cause next year, I would be lost if I didn't see you all. I love you sooooooo much. And ps, please tell Nic that curbs and water bottles are dangerous.

xoxoxoxoxo

Just got home late last night, so I'm a little behind here.

I know that technically all the female adults walking the duck line could have been OC Mom, but I figured only one would answer back.  I felt a bit like the people at the airport looking for their clients.  I can't be the only one who has done this, come on it's not that weird, is it?  I have a feeling I may not want to hear the answer.

It was a joy meeting you, you are even sweeter in person.  Still wishing CG was going to JAMZ so I could participate in the marital celebration.  Morton/Danny it's not too late to register, is it?  I'm sure other parents wouldn't mind the expense of adding a competition just so I can have an excuse to be in Vegas for OC Mom's wedding, right?

This is only my opinion, I have no insight into GSSA and how they would handle this.

I would GUESS that the last AT LARGE bid would not be passed any further because all the Super Six teams would have bids. Those are the teams that GSSA felt would represent them at Worlds. USASF does not require companies to pass out all of their bids.

I am interested in the scores from USA...also, if you smart guys wouldn't mind Please list exactly who got bids at this comp and how! Thanks!! (just in case you have nothing better to do....sheepishly said)

I haven't seen a posting of scores, but I did write down the high score from each division.  They did not announce high score in the World's divisions.

I very easily could have made mistakes, especially in the first few before I noticed they were posting it on the screen.

Tiny L1 - 85.4 - OC
Mini L1 - 87.8 - VCSC Pride
Youth L1 - 82.6 (?) - TLCC
Junior L1 - 85.8 - Community Youth Cheer

That's what I was hoping that they would do. It's completely at their discretion at this point. Who are the leftover l5 teams anywho? Cheer Odyssey? West Coast Extreme? and A&J? Is that all?

Leftover 15? I must have missed something, what does that mean? How long will it be before all the bids have been either excepted ot declined so we know who ACTUALLY got them? It's gettin' pretty late here.....worlds is just around the corner!

Fierce Coach made an abbreviation for level 5 (l5), not 15. Isn't it that a team/gym has 72 hours to accept or decline a bid? Although, I guess a bid being passed around with each stop allowing 72 hours, it could take weeks. I'm with WorldsNut though, I don't think the bid from GSSA will go anywhere because it was stated that the teams eligible were those in the Super Six.

I'm thinking the same thing also. That sucks for GSSA. Less representation.

When Motions accepted their full paid bid at USA the partial paid bid went to Fierce. Nor Cal got the at large bid from GSSA this weekend, which Fierce had.  Hope that clears things up.

Does anyone have Starbucks? Vente Latte with 5 shots.

We got that bid pass down...what is in question is if POWER large get paid bid at JAMZ, then the GSSA partial would pass down to Pyramids, and then the Pyramids At Large bid is now avaible. But we ran out of teams that were in the Super Six...so what happens with that bid? Would they go back to one of the teams that didn't make it into the Super Six and give it to them? Or would the not pass it down.

Caffeine Here is Cheer4LIfe with those 5 shots...

It is my understanding that GSSA does not plan on passing bids outside of the Super Six division.

Also, the partial paid bids were only $5,000 each, not 10k each as was previously mentioned.
