USA Nationals

Well, we're on to the next bid races on West Coast, or Left Coast as we're better known as. Let's start with USA Nationals. Here is who I've heard will be attending. Not sure who has level 5 teams going for bids. Anyone else going?

-West Coast Rush
-
Titan Elite
-
Arizona Heat Elite
-
Maximum
-
West Coast Allstars
-Texas Lonestar Cheer
-West Coast Mavericks
-Motions Unlimited Coed
-Pyramids Small Senior
-California All Stars Small Seniors

American and POWER are not attending this event? This would be an easy win. Well, not with the California Ladieeesss there though. LOL. They're amazing this season!!!

Out of those teams...
West Coast Rush and West Coast do not have level 5 teams.

Texas Lonestar is probably bringing they're co-ed and small senior all girl.
West Coast Mavericks have their small and large coed.
AZ Heat have coed.

Texas Lonestar's level 5's are Small Junior Coed, International Coed, Large Senior All Girl.  In addition, they'll be bringing their other 4 teams.  My daughter is on Sm. Junior Level 3.

Welcome TexasCheerMom77. Glad you found your way to the message board. Texas Lonestar has attended USA in the past and received bids. There should be lots of Sm Junior Level 3 teams for your daughter to compete against. I still believe California has a ways to go to hang with Texas teams and other "down south" and "right coast" teams. We're working hard and hoping that we can give these teams some competition at USA Nationals. Good luck and make sure you touch base with some of the message board parents when you are in sunny southern california.

Thanks for the welcome.

This is my daughter's first year at TLCC.  It's been a great one and this will be their last competition of the season.  There are 6 teams at semi-finals, one being last year's winner.

I certainly hope I get to touch base with some of the message board parents.  We'll be there Wednesday through Monday, so it shouldn't be that hard.

I'm looking forward to seeing California teams.  It will be fun.

Cheergyms.com is taking all full year teams. We are not on the schedule yet because we are competing in the prelims on Friday.  Good luck to everyone.

***OC Mom---did not get to meet you at Cheersport, hope to run into you at USA.

USA Nationals March 16-183 PAID, 6 @Large, and 3 Int’l @ Large Bids

The USA will award three (3) “Paid” bids and six (6) “At Large” (unpaid) bids to the 2007 Cheerleading Worlds from the Elevated divisions listed below. The top three scores from the National Champions from the four (4) Elevated divisions will receive a “Paid” bid to the 2007 Cheerleading Worlds. The remaining National Champion will receive one (1) of the “At Large” (unpaid) bids.

The five (5) remaining “At Large” (unpaid) bids will be awarded to the 2nd or 3rd place teams from the Elevated divisions at the discretion of the USA All-Star Nationals competition officials. Officials will determine these bids based upon the teams that will best represent the USA Nationals event at the Worlds. Scores and/or a balance of representation from various divisions will be the primary factors in this decision.

Small Senior
  • California All Stars (@ Large American Championships)
  • Club Cheer Twisters
  • Magic All Stars (@ Large Spirit Sports)
  • West Coast Extreme (was at GSSA)
  • American Cheer (was at GSSA)
  • Pro Spirit (@ Large NCA)
  • Pyramids (prelims) @ Large GSSA
Large Senior
  • Fusion
  • Desert Storm (Partial Paid Valley of the Sun)
  • Texas Lonestar (At Large NCA)
Limited Coed
  • Stars Extreme (@ Large Spirit Sports)
  • South Elite All Stars
  • Cheer Texas (prelims)
Unlimited Coed
  • Motions (prelims) Partial Paid GSSA
Int’l Open Coed
  • West Valley Thunder
  • Texas Lonestar (@ Large ACA)
  • Cheer Empire (prelims)

Acutally Desert Storms SLA team has a partial, not at large.

My guesses:
SMALL SENIOR
1. California
2. Pro Spirit
3. American Cheer
4. Magic
5. Pyramids
6. Club Cheer Twisters
7. West Coast Extreme

LARGE SENIOR
1. Texas Lonestar
2. Desert Storm
3. Fusion

The rest I don't really know about. I do not know who Cheer Texas is or West Valley Thunder.

Finally figured it out Fierce Coach. I'm getting slow the closer it gets to Worlds.

VOS awarded Arizona Power Elite with the Partial Paid bid and Desert Storm with At Large Bid. Arizona Power Elite then received Full Paid bid at Cheersport which meant the Partial Paid bid from VOS was passed down to Desert Storm.

Does anyone know who got the At Large bid?

Texas Lonestar got an at-large bid at NCA, too.

Worlds Nut,

I've heard recently that a company doesn't have to pass down a bid, not saying this happened in this instance - just something to further complicate the watching.  How do you know which team the company does pass it to?  For instance, at Cheersport Power Lg declined theirs and the bid went to a team that wasn't in the same division or, I believe, the next highest score.  Crazy stuff, man!

Yeah I think you might have to with at USASF to completely figure all this mess out and understand it. :)

Typically the only way you know if they passed the bid to someone else after the original announcement at the competition is through the grapevine. Few of the companies update their web sites with the new information. Cheersport and NCA seem to be updating their websites with the current bid winners, very nice and helpful. And USASF rules don't dictate how the bids are given or passed down.

Take a look at USAs "Bid" document and you might be surprised at how they determine bids if the original high scoring/winning teams already have bids. Very subjective and doesn't necessary have anything to do with scores or placement. It is up to the discretion of the company to select who they think will represent them at Worlds.

My opinion, not that anyone is asking, but I don't think At Large Bids should be passed down. Well, to be completely honest, I don't think there should be At Large Bids.

And did I hear you call me "Worlds Nut"? Or were you referring to someone else?
