I'm back from florida NDA nationals. WOW what can I say... This was my 1st east coast nationals and Wow! I can not begin to tell you what a Fabulous experience it was. I never got to go to Atlanta on the cheer end. The parents, the teams, the TALENT!! Man -- Pom routines that looked like cheer dance sections sped up 100 times but with aboslute perfect motions (and had 25 people on them). Hip Hop that was truely outstanding. - One senior team scored a 9.7 out of 10 max. 9's were few and very very far between. Jazz that just took your breath away and some that left you with a huh? - don't get it? - question. Parents that cheered for other teams -- just because we could. A team from Toyoko that totally won the hearts of everyone in Finals on Sunday. The louder we cheered them on, the harder they danced and the bigger their smiles!(PS.. they won too). The competing teams back stage that played games with each other, while waiting to go on. It didn't matter that you were on the opposing team, it was lets just have some fun while we are waiting around. I am just floored. My daughter can not stop talking about it. And I am still in awe over the whole thing.
Oh and Wahooo -- our program took 4 teams, 6 routines -- we had 4 first places and 2, 3rd places. My daughters team took home 2 National championships! (JPrep-Jazz, and JPrep-team performance). They really fought hard on the Team Perf - WE had some visible mistakes that cost us a quite few deductions and put us in 2nd on day 1. But they came out on sunday fighting mad and pushed it to the limit, and had the best performance of the season. We had great competition, met lots of great people from all over and I can't wait for next year!!! Now I know how you all felt with Atlanta ---
Take care for now -- Next up for us -- USA Nationals -- Good Luck to all at Jamz. -- I miss Jamz -- I always looked forward to that comp.
