How does everyone feel about gyms posting "at Worlds" on this date on their websites or calendars when they haven't even made it yet? Is this setting cheerleaders up for disapointment or giving them hope?

Oh ya, good job to my team for hitting our new stunt and pyramid today!
I think it all depends on how the gym is approaching it. If the gym just has the date in place so that parents don't make plans, but the parents/kids also know that it's not guaranteed then I think it's fine. It's just more positive thoughts out there for the gym.
I thought about this a lot. I dont neccessarily think its setting them up for dissapointment, they just want to get the date out. As a parent, I would like to know what dates I need to reserve, not be surprised at our last comp before worlds and be told we got a bid and now were going to need to head to florida in say two weeks. Im sure those teams have told their parents that its not a guareenteed competition date(worlds) but they are going to try.
