FINALLY...Cheersport posted Worlds Bids on their website. Looks like POWER Large declined their bid and I don't see that their Junior team received a bid as was stated earlier. Anyone know about this?

At the 2007 National Cheerleading & Dance Nationals, CHEERSPORT once again offered more bids than any other USASF member company. For cheer teams, 7 paid bids and 21 at-large bids were awarded while an additional 3 partially-paid and 6 at-large bids were awarded to dance teams. Altogether, CHEERSPORT is providing 37 teams an opportunity to compete at the 2007 Worlds!

Yes- we did decline our Large Bid. Like I have stated before we NEVER anticipated getting two paid bids at Cheersport. I guess that was naive on our part. We are currently reworking our Large routine and will be trying for bids at GSSA and JAMZ. Our Junior 5 team did receive an at-large bid, but we also declined that bid.

So whats the deal with POWER declining their large senior 5 Worlds bid? Anyone know the deal?

They will be attending the super six competition but will only have a chance for a partial paid bid? Why give up your paid for a partial? Will they be attending USA Nationals for a paid bid? Or are they choosing not to take large senior to Worlds... and only small senior due to cross over complications?

ANYONE? I'm stunned!

Yes- we do have crossovers on both Small/Large. We are reworking that right now. We did not accept the Cheersport bid because we did not have our entire program there, so the we could not substitute in those girls that are awesome, but still in Cailifornia. Our entire program will be at GSSA and JAMZ, so it makes it less complicated.

Fierce Coach- did an at-large get passed down to you. I did not get a chance to see you all, but our parents thought you all were outstanding.

Cheersport has already passed the bids to other teams. If you look at the number of bids they are all accounted for. So unless someone else declines, the list above is final. I believe the Paid bid pasted by POWER went to Premier Great White Sharks.

Lisa,
When we see you at GSSA and/or Jamz you will have 20-25 new girls on your Large Team? If any gym can pull this off it will be POWER. Will you also try to get another bid for your Junior team?

CheerForce had to do something similar with their Int'l Open Coed and were successfule at receiving the second @large bid. Not sure how many they had to replace or if they went outside their gym to recruit new members. But it can be done.

ALL of this bid stuff is soooo confusing.

So what happens to the @large bids that South Jersey Storm had previously to Cheersport. According to WorldsWatcher, those were from WSF & American Championships. Will those companies be passing those @large bids down???

Each competition company has their own guidelines on passing bids. Most times the companies don't "announce" any change. Yes, it is very confusing, and I decided not to go back and try to track down who all these bids will be passed down to. If I see it listed on a website or message board, then I'll pass the info on. But it is way too much to go figure out who might be in line for those passed down bids.

Not if you have some handy spreadsheet of who, when and where. You just need to put a little more work into this. Come on, get on it. I can't sit back and think "I'll just wait until Worlds Watcher tells me what's going on" if you don't know what the ins and outs are. That's right, track down those bids and tell me who's getting the new passed down ones.

I thought about this earlier this year, it made my head spin when I thought about all that would have to go into who gets a bid based on previous bids. Example: Mathis' Mavs declines their paid bid, the bid then goes to ABC's. ABC's earned a partially paid bid five months ago, that partial bid now goes to Tamara's Flyers Elite. However, since that competition five months ago Tamara's Flyers Elite had an amazing performance at WSF, so Tamara's also now has a fully paid bid. Naturally, Tamara's decline's the partial. This partial is now going to Joe Schmoe's Gym. Joe's Gym currently has an at-large, so they accecpt the partial. At the competition three months ago that Joe's received their at-large, the next in line is Pixie's Twinkle Toes. Pixie's teams haven't been having much luck, so they very gratefully accept the at-large. However, if Pixie's had just stepped it up a bit, they would already have a bid as well - so really this could keep going. Is your head spinning now, too?

Oohhohh...dizzy isn't a strong enough word for this one.

And you know this is driving me crazy to not go and find out who is getting those bids. I'm fighting the urge...still fighting...oh no...I think I'm loosing the battle...stay tuned...

Hey, how come Worlds Watcher doesn't have a team mentioned in your example? Weren't they good enough? Must have dropped a stunt or two along the way. Oh well. No worries. We'll get it next year.

After six months of trying to get the gym up and running, you figured it out that having a gym here in the Bay Area is just too rough. So, Tamara's took all of your kids into her gym and you became the official bids record keeper for Tamara's Flyers Elite, that's why I reprimanded you for not doing your job. Tamara's is paying you good money for this, doncha know!?

Well, lets clarify again. The 'payment' is all my kids cheer for free at your gym. So I am not personally benefiting from this. It is all about the kids. And I'll get right on those bids being passed around. I'm sure I can figure it out.

I stand corrected, again. Now you know why my gym closed and all my kids went over to Tamara's Flyers Elite. She is much better with interpersonal skills. But, hey, aren't I good at keeping track of bids?

I might be able to shed some light on the AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS Int. at large bid. Since Cheer Force rockiez declined that bid the next in line would be California allstars large junior international.
