congrats to AIRBORNE!! I read that saturday you had some issues with legality on the pyramid, and got deducted, and that placed you 12th! and sunday you moved up tremondesly! Great job! Its a bummer that happened, you guys would have placed way higher! Nevertheless, We are all so proud of you guys! Great job!
Great job Airborne, and great job to Cheer Xplosion, against what looks like very tough competition. We're proud of both of our Nor Cal teams that attended.
We did, and they were awesome! We're all so proud of them -- it was a really tough competition, but they nailed their stunts both days! The scoring was very close over all. They did fantastic. =)
Did anyone go to NCA website lately and look at the bid results again? Top Gun is no longer listed. Seems they turned their full paid bid down because they have an injury and will go for another bid with a different team member(s). Their bid went to Stingray Orange Small Senior. The Stingray's @large bid was passed down to Spirit Central Small Senior.
Here is updated list: Paid Bids: Cheer Athletics Wildcats (Unlimted Coed) Maryland Twisters F5 (Large Senior) Spirit of Texas (Small Senior) Stingray All Stars (Small Senior)
At Large Bids: Spirit Central (Small Senior) Cheer Athletic Jags (Small Senior) Texas Lonestar Cheer Company (Large Senior) East Elite All Stars (Small Senior) Stingray All Star (Limited Coed) All Star Panthers Senior Silver (Large Senior) ICE Athletics (Large Senior) Pro Spirit, Inc (Small Senior)

I was wondering what your thoughts are after NCA? It was a tough division, and you went against competition that you will see at Worlds this year. Did you guys hit your routine both days or will you want to make changes? I'm asking only because I haven't heard anything about how you guys did and why you may have placed in 6th. I really thought you would place much higher, even with this tough division.
Spirit of Texas -- 10.48 (2nd 2006 Worlds)
Gym Tyme All Stars -- 10.34 (1st 2006 Worlds)
Twist and Shout Sr. Coed -- 10.26 (4th 2006 Worlds)
World Cup Odyssey -- 10.09 (6th 2006 Worlds)
The Stingray All Stars -- 9.92 (not at 2006 Worlds)
Cheer Force -- 9.80 (3rd 2006 Worlds)
All Star Legacy -- 9.49 (23rd 2006 Worlds)
Central Mississippi Cheerleading -- 9.33 (not at 2006 Worlds)
Maverick All Stars -- 8.82 (not at 2006 Worlds)

Between the 1st place team and the sixth place team there is less than 3/4 of a point difference. I think Diamondz did well considering this is their first time at NCA.
It was a great competition. There score sheet is diffrent to say the least lol. They would rather see you throw 5 fulls together, then to throw 5 doubles seperate. The team didn't perform as well the first day due to nerves, we only had a little bobble in the pyramid. When I went to talk to the head judge about a few things she told me this.
First we only got 10 in running tumbling. I asked her why because according to the bracket we should have been in the 10- 11 bracket. She told me she would watch closer tomorrow and sorry they couldnt change it for today. Which after I complained the second day we got a 10.6. Same went for standing. They dont so much reward difficulty as much as syncrinzation. We got slammed in jumps by only getting a 9 the first day because there timing was off and because they do 4 jumps to a tuck with out stopping once the sync is off it stays off. They got better the second day and bumped to a 9.7. As for worlds they have a difficulty part of the score sheet which we will pick up points in for worlds.
As far as stunts go if you dont tic toc or full up your stunts at NCA you cant score higher then a 10. So the first day we scored 10 in stunts. We added tic toc to stretch for the second day and bumped us to a 10.3. As far as worlds go they dont ask that of you.
Where we lost was motions and Dance with a 8.3 ..... If you dont do NCA style you dont do well lol ...
Any way we had a great time learned a whole lot as a team. Worlds should be 10 times better cause thats the score sheet i based the routine around. The kids are pumped and are busting there butts, i think they needed this drive. Last year they got beat in vegas and got fired up and did great at worlds. I see that fire back in them again. Dont count us out. We just changed our motions sequence and added 10 stunts so we are making things happen. Some times you have to lose a battle to win a war. lol
I didn't mean to offend. I just think they are way up on the totem pole, so I expected the NCA judges to see it too. I mean come on, CF place top three of all the world!
Thanks CheerForce Coach for taking the time to give us some insight into NCA scoresheets. And don't worry, we haven't counted you out AT ALL. Based on what we've seen so far we have expectations that your placement at Worlds will be better than last year. Keep up the great work.
