Happy to report that Motions Coed, afer a really rocky performance yesterday (not so good), had a killer performance today (very much so good). With the 50/50 scoring system Cheersport uses, it will be really tough for us to move up today, but nonetheless, I'm very proud of the way Senior Black stepped up today.

Congratulations to the teams that won worlds bids!!
Power Larger Senior 1st place & fully paid bid Power Small Senior 1st place & fully paid bid So Cal Elite Outlaws Sm Coed 1st place & fully paid bid
I thought I saw something about Power's Jrs getting an at large bid, could someone confirm this? If they did I would think it would be for the junior international division.
Also, to the Nor Cal teams on their placements, sounds like there was some tough competition.
Does anyone know how our friends at Fierce & OC Allstars did?
We are sooooooooooo thrilled at our placements. I can't say enough about everyone that we ran in to. I got to meet Ace Dad whose daughter is BEAUTIFUL and whose teams KICKED BUTT big time!!! I met the coaches from Fierce and Power, and they are so adorable and sweet!!!! (John needs to let them post now that we have to register cause I would LOVE to chat with Power people!) And I got to see Motions perform the second day and they did soooooo GREAT!!!
I will write more when I get back home but here are our placements....
Youth Level 2 - 2nd Place Youth Level 3 - 4th Place Junior Level 5 - 4th Place Sr. Coed Level 3 - 4th Place (out of 11) Sr. Coed Level 4 - 3rd Place (out of 16)
I am so exhausted from walking back and forth from the warmup room to the competition to our room to the food courts and then back again..... They moved the awards arena and it was great. I couldn't figure out if the announcer was Irish or a pirate. He had a very strange voice. The food was wonderful and there was LOTS to choose from!!!!
I took TONS of pictures and I will post some soon. I am off to bed cause our plane leaves early and I am DEAD. I wonder if I can find someone to carry me thru the airport......

Way to go POWER!!! All of us here in Nor Cal have always known your program has AMAZING talent, but now the East Coast knows too! Good luck at World's and can't wait to see your teams again at GSSA. Great job to Pyramids Jr. Black! 3rd place is a great accomplishment for you girls (and guy!)! First time in such a HUGE arena and you seemed to work it out and show what you can do. Sr. Gold, you ladies have worked so hard and I have watched you push yourselves to the limit this year and you represented us well! Be proud and I can't wait to hear all about it.
I am so happy for OC -- (hi OC Mom) - -this is an ex-oc mom (that is now in the dance arena). We still have friends on those teams and I was paitiently waiting for some kind of results. Have a safe trip home!
That's fantastic news for California! I'm so excited to hear about the victories that California teams brought back...especially, the nor cal teams.
Good luck at Worlds!
Airborne - I just looked at the teams that attended the NCA competition. Georgia, Top Gun, Twist and Shout, Spirit of Texas, all amazing gyms. You went after the best. keep up the good work.
To confirm, yes, Power's Junior Level 5 received an at large bid (the top three in their division did). We wish them the best of luck and hope they are able to go and represent California.
Thanks to everyone from Motions, Power and West Coast Elite (Oregon ?), for coming into our spectator section and cheering us on. It was an incredible feeling to have that support while we were performing, especially since we were so far from home.
We are so happy with our 3rd place win! Our mission was accomplished... we "MADE A STATEMENT!!!!"
Mostly enjoyed the trip, although a bit disappointed with Warriors (large coed) 4th place finish. But we had a problem with our pyramid on Saturday and if you don't hit you don't win.
Anyway, got to meet OC Mom. Caused heart tremors for her and the other "Kris" with OC. The entire ACE gym was wearing scrubs with "Tribeology" on the back (a take off on Grey's Anatomy) and when I was asking for "Kris" they both thought the medical staff was tracking them down. Oops. Sorry.
Anyway, enjoyed meeting you both and chatting with many of you from OC, Motions & Power. Nicely done!!
Congrats to POWER for the paid bids! And congrats to the other California teams, it sounds like everyone did great, especially day 2. It really is too bad both competitions (Cheersport and NCA) are on the same weekend, because I would love to see how the teams at Cheersport would have done against those at NCA. I guess I'll have to wait for Worlds!

That was so funny. I thought, "Oh dear Lord, who broke what?" But it was great!!!! Congrats on your placements! Your teams are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!

Hey everyone... thought I'd give a CheerSport update for our Fierce program.
In the large senior 4 division our team, Legacy was in third place after the first day with only 3 points in deductions. They hit a rock solid performance. Going into the second day, they did what they had to do... stuck again! We were so proud of them. The teams that were behind them after the first day had alot of dedutions, but their raw scores were quite a bit higher, due to full squad standing tucks and layouts. Our girls peformed at their best and ended up with sixth place, as the teams behind them moved up because they hit the second day. They knew that they performed two amazing performances, and at last nights practice we added in a WHOLE MESS LOAD of more difficulty. So watch out for that!!!
In the large senior 5 division, Legend performed a little bit of a rocky performance on day one... dropping a partner stunt. They were placed in 9th place going into the second day, but their raw score was very high, up there with the top 4 teams. If they hit the second day, then we knew they'd move up. AND THAT'S EXACTLY what they DID!!! They hit an amazing performance and ended up in sixth place. A man working at the scoresheets table told our coaching staff, if they would have hit like they did today, then they would have been in 4th place, after the 40/60% was added together. We were a little dissapointed, and knew that our first day performance really cost us one. We scored 30 points higher the second day, than the first. Our girls know that they scored great the second deay, and know what they have to do for the few upcoming competitions we have left!!!
It was nice seeing Morton, OC MOM, and So Cal Elite Staff. Looking forward to seeing you again!!! :)

Good job Fierce! I know the placements for Cheersport may not have been what everyone was hoping for, but I'm just proud to hear about the teams going out there and giving it their all (especially after a not so shining day). I'm glad that your L5 team was able to move up - that's not an easy task, even more so because, I'm pretty sure, that this year Cheersport didn't do their typical 40/60 - it was 50/50!
Who was the Fierce lady that was going to wear high heels? Did you try that plan or did you stick with the cute shoes you found? After hearing all the horror walking stories (one lady wore a pedometer - she walked 35 miles!), I just couldn't imagine having heels on.
