I would use Marta... you can't beat $1.75. Just give yourself a little extra time but shooooot, it would cost more just in gas!!!
Ok, so was anyone crazy enough to count the teams that are going to Atlanta??? I didn't. I'm just curious.

The numbers are down from last year because NCA is the same weekend, which is too bad. I wonder if the number of bids will go down next year. I hope not.

Part of the problem is also that the judging last year was absolutely haywire, from what I've been told.
In Cheersport's defense, it's VERY hard to find qualified judges to fill something like 50 panels. But in the judging I've done so far this year, I've heard a lot of complaints about the way Cheersport went last year and how many gyms aren't returning because of it. I wasn't there last year so I can't say that from first-hand knowledge, but I would imagine if it's that big of a buzz among coaches and gym owners, something must have gone wrong.
I would imagine that with NCA the same weekend, that has the potential to make the judging situation even worse and maybe for both competitions. I'll be curious to hear how things go at both events this year, to see if it went any better or if it just got worse.

Oh my goodness. I just found out that there are two divisions for Sm Sr 5 (Div E and Div O). Both are going for bids, but the division was so large they divided it up based on when you registered.
Here is an updated list. It is TWICE as large as originally posted.
DIVISION O Allstar Athletics Cheer Force One – Stealth Cheer Corp Generals Georgia X-treme FORCE Elite Diablo Cheer Tyme Senior Extreme Cheer Challenge Electric Stars Premier Great White Sharks Celebrity Cheer Fame – CT West Coast Extreme POWER – CA Maryland Vipers Venom Cheer Express Senior Silver DIVISION E Cheer Savannah Senioritas Az Power Elite Pyramids Southern All-Stars Cheer Command Senior Silver OC All-Stars Star Athletics Just Cheer Jaguars Twister All-Stars Pep Club Colts KC Cheer Carolina All-Stars Thundercats Chi-Town C.A.T.S More Xtreme

Wow, does that mean teams in one division don't compete against teams in the other? Are bids based on scores, or how you do against teams in your division? It would have to be based on scores, otherwise too much emphasis would be based on when you registered, right?
This is to CheeRacerMom who asked about disadvantages to renting a car.
We rented a car last year in Atlanta. A few of us went in together. Every time we wanted to park close to the Competition we had to pay $20 or more. This was not even in the connecting garage it was anywhere in the downtown area. Because of this if we parked we kept the car there and walked everywhere. We usually dropped the girls off then found parking because we usually parked quite a ways away. There was lots of traffic and it does take a lot of time driving to the competition. If I remember correctly you could not park on the street either you had to park in a lot. Something else to think about.
I'm so jealous! I wish our gym was going. Hey, that UCA competition in Texas looks like an amazing competition as well. I can't wait to hear/read about all the updates.

If I get a chance I will continue posting videos of teams that will be going to Atlanta Cheersport. I did Unlimited Coed and Small Sr. Just have to find time to do research on Lrg Sr and Limited Coed.
