I am feeling so much better today, thanks!!! I cooked breakfast for 5 girls this morning, so I must be functioning ok. Nothing burned. That's a good sign.
One of our moms left at 5am this morning to see the competition, but I KNOW she'll never hear her phone and answer it, so I'm useless. Sorry....
Ok, I'm off to Big Lots to buy snacks for Atlanta. I don't want to spend $1.50 on a tiny bag of chips that will feed one of our mini's......

hey everybody im new to the forum =] im on fierce legend.. i figured id let u know how everybody did yesterday.. it was pretty rough for a lot of teams.. desert storm elite level 5 had a girl break an ankle and fall off the stage from tumbling...so they couldnt finish their routine full out. my team was shaky overall on tumbling...stunts hit but tumbling has some cleaning up to do. dynasty had a stunt drop ((im pretty sure)) but sooo did a lot of other teams..it seemed like everybody dropped a stunt cept for a few teams. magic small sr. hit a perfect routine...they should be in the running for a bid if they hit perfect again today. cheerforce= great as always....both teams were awesome
ummm i hope i helped!! pretty vague i know lol but thats what i could remember... good luck to everybody today!
There was some incredible teams here this weekend. Congrats to all. Here are the results to the best of my knowledge. The world bid stuff was a bit confusing, so bare with me.

**I am confused about Senior Coed level 5. They announced this category twice. First, Cheerforce took 1st. Then they announced it again, and California won. Can somebody explain, if I missed something. Both categories seemed to be Large teams.**
Already have at large, so not eligible for a bid at this competition.
Large Sen coed 5 - California Small Senior 5 - California Large Senior 5 - Desert storm Large Senior Coed 5 Cheerforce
One quick comment, regarding the competition. I have to give it up to Large Senior 5 - Desert Storm for overcoming the first day, and winning 1st place, was awesome. I hope those girls are recovering well. I have to say, that something needs to be done about the competiton floor. At the end of the mat on the right side, there was about 6" then it dropped off to the floor.
yeahh california allstars large coed totally deserved the paid bid. they were amazingg. and to the person who was confused about the senior coed 5 divisions .. i think cheerforce won small coed and california allstars won large coed. i hope the girl from desert storm is okay .. this was my first competition where the mat was on a stage so it was kinda different .. and it was hard to see sometimes b/c the seats arent raised .. just lots of chairs on the floor. and the judges were really far away. the national champs sweaters are dark heather gray with a huge spirit sports logo on the front .. looks like a superman sign thing .. says spirit sports cheer&dance i thinkk .. and then the inside of the hood is BRIGHT yellow and on the back it says national champion. theyre okay. im glad this comp had professional photographers. yayy finally we got lots of real good pics
Wow! That was quite a line up of teams this weekend. Quick shout out to Airborne Jr. 4. Fantastic job! Will this team be considered Jr. next season? If so, you may have an awesome Jr. 5. Great Job Ladies!
How were performances for Fierce and American level 5 teams? We had our bets on one of these teams getting a bid but looks like Magic out scored and got the bid. Will American and Fierce have other opportunities for bids?

So The first day Fierce did really good everyting hit perfect but they had doublles touch down and gurls not doing there correct passes. American dropped there whole pyramid and it just wasnt a good performance at all (just my opinion). Second day Fierce did amazing, the best performance i have seen them do. They had a lil bobble in there first partner stunt and a couple of touchdowns, all ther doubles stuck though. American the second day was just ok, i have seen them perform better and it just was ok for me.
Any one know what was up with CF limited coed level 5 team on saturday. After their tumbling passes they all did some pretty weird things. I don't agree with all tha was done, but some were so funny I almost peed my pants. One guy was waving his hands above his head this girl just started like shaking the last tumbler pulled his shirt over his head and pretended like he lost his head. I think it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I was glad to see someone get out of the routine like stage and just do some random fun stuff.
The first day seemed a little rough on everyone. There were lots of touch downs and falls all over the place. I think that the nerves got the best of everyone there. Small Senior 5 SATURDAY - Magic all stars was in first place going into the second day, due to hitting a clean routine. Calfiornia All Stars dropped a stunt (I believe) and had 3 tumbling touchdowns in their long tumbling section. You could tell that CA was much better than what they did, and were the favored team in this division... so we knew that they were going to come back strong. American Cheer had a bad Saturday, dropping most of their pyramid and having lots of doubles touch down. I'm not sure of their placing going into day two. SUNDAY - Magic did just about the same routine they did the day before, so everyone kind of knew that their clean performances would place them in either of the top two spots. California hit the stage with determination and had a flawless routine. You obviously tell they were going to win their division based upon their overall execution and difficulty conmpared to Magic. American, just didn't have a good weekend. And I saw those girls at the Anaheim Regional a while back, and I was thinking, WOW these girls are talented. If they would have been more consistent in their performances then they would have definitely pushed Magic back to third and gave CA a run for the trophy. 1. CA (top two were separated by thousandths of a point, the announcer said that before announcing top two) 2. Magic 3. American
Large Senior 5 SATURDAY - Dynasty, well, they looked ok. Lots of touch downs, two falls, shakey stunts. Not their day. Fierce Legend did pretty well, with only a few bobbles and couple touch downs. We actually had less deductions than Desert Storm did. Desert Storm had one girl injure herself in the tumbling section and couldn't go on. She stepped off the stage and her coaching staff jumped right to her. Another full landed right on the edge of the stage causing her to fall off and she was taken away in a stretcher after some time. I do hope both of these girls turned out ok. The ankle injury looked pretty bad. One side of their stunts couldn't go up, they marked through parts of stunt sequences. But besides not watching those parts go up, you could just tell that their routine was amazing. SUNDAY - Dynasty, hit their routine but their execution and difficulty was no where near a top two poistion. Fierce Legend hit a solid routine with only two touch downs. Desert Storm had a flawless routine the second day and I'm glad that they got some girls to fill in the spots of the injured ones. It was obvious that they were going to get first place, even though I'm sure this division ended up pretty close, due to the low amount of deductions from both first and second place teams. 1. Desert Storm 2. Fierce Legend 3. Dynasty
Limited Co-Ed SATURDAY - Stars Extreme looked okay, but they had two falls in stunts and had timing issues in baskets tosses. Their tumbling looked good, but of course, no where near the CheerForce bar. CheerForce looked amaaaaaaaazzzing. With new little changes made to their routine, I was impressed like always. :) There wasn't a thing wrong with their routine, and I'm sure they were ahead by quite a bit. SUNDAY - Stars did the opposite routine they did the first day. They had solid stunts, but couldn't hold up in their tumbling section. There were falls and missed passes everywhere. CheerForce did great again, with only one missed tumbling pass, ? I'm not sure why that happened. I think maybe she forgot her counts, there didn't seem to be anyone in her way. But it was obvious they would win first. 1. CheerForce Diamondz 2. Stars Extreme
Unlimited Coed CA looked great day one and day two. They are a strong team in all areas with solid stunts and solid tumbling passes. Some of their guys are great tumblers, and they definitely deserved the grand champion of the senior division.
WORLDS BIDS - PAID - CA Bullets Unlimited Coed At Large - 1. Magic 2. Stars Extreme At Large International - CheerForce (didn't they already have an at large bid???)
I'm not too sure if I liked the way they judged because they were judging not "what you threw on the floor" but what it would look like if you would have hit. ??? Doesn't make sense. I'm just very traditional when it comes to judging, and I like the judging way of, if you hit you hit, if you don't you don't. If you hit and it's good enough, then it might get you first. And if you don't then you might get last. But that's not how it was run here. I'm not complaining at all, it is how they judge these competitions, but I'm just not partial to it.
:) So here we come Georgia, Good luck to everyone at NCA Dallas. Work hard this week. I know I'll be talking to a lot of you soon!
P.S. And congrats CA on your paid bid, it was well deserved. And CF Alcatraz, you little ones really do work it out. GRAND CHAMPS!!! Whoo hoo. :)

Thanks! We had our hopes high too. But sometimes, your day is just not your day. We are going to Georgia for CheerSport Nationals this weekend, so yes, we will have a chance for a bid again. I'm sure American will be gonig to Anaheim Nationals, so they will have a chance for a bid. WE're working hard to clean up things!

Haha, I saw some of this too. It was quite funny. I just think that these kids are so talented and so used to their routine and hitting it everytime, that their coaches probably told them, go out there and have fun. Right Shawn? LOL. They did awesome nonetheless, and it really did show how much of a fun and classy program they hve become over the last few years. I was going to ask if anyone noticed the silly things they did after!!! The guy at the end of the routine was hillaaarrriouuussss. LOL.

Thanks for the compliment! the majority of the girls on the team will still be young enough to be juniors next season! Only 2 will be too old! They are dedicated group of ladies and we are so proud of them! This was the best talent level in junior 4 that I have seen all year. Our girls had two great performances but everyone in this division was really strong. Other standout performances in this division were:
Bladez: Loved the uniforms! They had great flexibility and a fantastic pyramid section!
Supreme: Great elite sequence and difficulty!
Pacific Coast : AWESOME!!!! So clean and fun to watch! I believe that a Motions alumni coaches with that program. They were fantastic!
This was a great well run competition. Its big but small enough that the staff of the comp. actually takes the tme to come talk to you.
Well let me explain the whole craziness that happened after the tumbling passes lol. I have put alot of presure on these kids lately with NCA and Worlds coming up, so our goal for this weekend was No stress, Just fun. I told them before they went on that they could do whatever they wanted to do after there passes or during transitions and the winner with the funniest thing would get to condition the team on tuesday .... lol .... Needless to say it was really funny. Then on day 2 I asked anthony if he wanted to try his standing double that he has been working on, so he was really excited. He came up alittle short but it was a great try.
As for alkatraz WOW they surprised me. lol They went out there and took the NO stress...Just FUN thing to the next level. They scored a 9.85 so close to a perfect score, i am so proud of them.
